**I really want sum change for my sis wedding and i think the most noticeable change will be getting either my hair highlighted or colored? But i dont know which one to get…ne suggestions?
and umm my salon is visible changes and they charge $100 and up for highlighting..dont know bout coloring yet..
is it a gud price or is it less / more? ne ideas???**

What is your natural hair colour, has it ever been coloured? also how much changed you are looking for, if one to two shade lighter or 2 to 3 shade lighter will depend on your natural hair colour them only will be able to suggest you some colour change

well my natural hair color is dark brown and i've never tried coloring or highlighting them. im looking for a slight change for a natural look.
I basically want to know a gud price for the service? like for how much do usually ppl get it done for?

it usually is around a 100 to 150 depending on the length of your hair, for colouring and highlighting. it moves within that range based on how many colors the salon uses in your hair.

oh okay..that means 100 is pretty cheap rite?..
i was first thinking bout highlighting now im more for color dying cuz it looks much natural..color dye in a reddish brown shade!

u dont need to go to a salon for tht..
if ur looking for a reddish brown shade then u can get it at home..cuz its a very basic color..just get hair dye color from any cvs or walgreens

100 for highlights ?? 
I paid 50 for mine.
Usually tints are more expensive than highlights so it’d be more than 100 for you.
If you want a slight change go with a tint cause highlights do take time to get used to

what is the difference between Highlights, Tint, Streaking? I have black hair & am also thinkin gof getting a change done once I cut this big curly mess of mine!!

Streaking is for shorter hair. Its done with the cap, where the hair is pulled out with a metal tool.
Can be done on longer hair but it kills.
It basically is done when you want the color to be spread out more
Highlights is done with foils, its for longer hair. You can go up and down with the amount of hair you want highlighted with the number of foils you want.
Tint is coloring the whole head.

that cap and tool friggin hurts, no matter how gentle the stylist is...had it done once and vowed never ...never again

honestly, neither if healthy hair are important to oneself.
but, we are all guilty of treatig hair with heat, chemicals and elements.
perhaps limiting the use to once a year or maximum twice a year will be better.

i have medium long hair
and i recently got my hair hi-lighted or so i thought
after reading adre's post it seems like it was more like streaking cuz she used the cap and metal kinda thing..but i got it done from a black lady so she was good and gentle with pulling my hair..cuz yeah it hurt but it wasnt tht bad..
but i am mad nowww cuz i paid for getting my hair hi-lighted

wow..thats a gud deal but theres no way for me to cum to houston..i m going 2 austin this weekend..and to b very frank i dont trust desi salons for my hair services!
