Highlighters!

So I always thought this particular makeup item was not for me at all…I just assumed it made me look like an oil well even though I don’t have oily skin anymore.

BUTTTTTTT…as it turns out…its one of my favorite items to use now! I love the way highlighting looks in pictures!

What highlighting items are you all using these days?

I am OBSESSED with NARS Albatross!

Re: Highlighters!

If you want to look like you are naturally radiant and glowing from withint(especially during daylight), go for becca shimmering skin perfecter. nothing comes close to its awesomeness! but if you want more of a pop, there are plenty of other products out there.

Re: Highlighters!

The Balm Mary Lou Manizer is amazing!

Re: Highlighters!

NARS Albatross, MAC 'soft and gentle', Benefit High-Beam and Moon-Beam, MAC Double Definition Highlighter. Benefit Watts-up!

Re: Highlighters!

hmm my mom bought a few for me, i never used them tough, gotta check them out now :)

Re: Highlighters!

I never thought I cared much for highlighter either! I still don't on myself lol because it makes my face look fatter, but on clients I LOVEEE it! I just use shimmery eyeshadow and it looks amazing.

Re: Highlighters!

^ If you keep it very subtle and just along the bottom of your temple it won't make you face look fat and it'll give such a pretty, soft 'glow'.

Re: Highlighters!

^i've tried it, thing is I have veryyy oily skin so I have a "glow" from the oil anyway lol and when I use highlighter it looks awful :/

Re: Highlighters!

OMG I LOVE HIGHLIGHTERS!!! can’t love without them, own a ton from different brands but my all time favourite one is Nars ‘Albatross’ and Benefit’s whatt’s up is my current obsession…I love highlighting my temples, it’s seriously the hottest look EVER!! teehee :hehe: oh and also to avoid the oily look just highlight the bridge of your nose and not the tip…I like to highlight top middle part of my upper lip too for the shimmered look in pictures…umph so hot!!!

Re: Highlighters!

Which one have you tried, I have seen your pictures and if you powder enough you shouldn't get oily! Use a setting spray and it'll last really long!

Highlighters!

Can you guys post pictures of two looks, one with or without so I can get an idea how to do this look on myself?

Re: Highlighters!

S and S you apply a highlighter right on your cheekbones, right above the area you contour (bottom-half of your cheekbone)

Re: Highlighters!

^highlighter ke dewani :p

Re: Highlighters!

Setting spray... R u talking about Mac face most kind of thing?

Re: Highlighters!

I use shimmery eyeshadows or eyeshadows that have a frost. Since I don’t use highlighters myself, I haven’t invested in one yet so I just use eyeshadows on clients. I’ve tried a highlight like this on myself and it looks bad on me but it looks good on others.

I’ve even tried a more subtle highlight like this one, but I still don’t think I can pull it off because I feel if there’s shimmer on my face…it’s going to look bigger. I had a mishap a couple of years ago where I applied highlighter and my face looked swollen in all my pictures. And I only applied it to the tops of my cheekbones.

Highlighters!

Any reviews for Dior SkinFlash radiance booster pen???

Re: Highlighters!

I prefer UD's 'All Nighter'. :)

Re: Highlighters!

Both pictures have a little too much highlighter (obvious since it’s for pictures etc.) but a small amount of a gold highlighter would look REALLY pretty on you. You don’t need to go all the way down and blend it with your blush like the above pictures but just a swipe on your upper-half of your cheekbone would really make them ‘pop’ and give a soft, warm glow.

Re: Highlighters!

Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal is a gorgeous liquid highlighter! Only need the tiniest amount. How does Nars' Albatross compare to Mac's Soft and Gentle! I'm looking for a highlighter that has more of a golden sheen! Suggestions, welcome!!

Re: Highlighters!

^ MAC double definition and Benefits' Sun Beam are really really nice! Actually the 'orgasm' illuminator is very pretty too.
