High chair recommendations

Re: High chair recommendations

Pretty please let us know when you have your own first baby, would love to know how the human touch/interaction works out…really mean it :hoonh:

Re: High chair recommendations

And I am just trying to figure out how I would have managed a young kid being playful plus me trying to feed them baby food and them being in my lap and obviously holding onto them …how would I have used my two upper limbs…just does not seem to work…
So when is the ‘human contact’ factor become less important for them to start sitting in a chair and eat their meals..?Btw it is recommended to provide kids with a structured environment during mealtimes so that they know that what meal time is.You sit up,eat and get done with it…no TV,no masti and no play time during meals…!!

To the OP…I had this for my daughter
Baby Trend High Chair - Gabriella - Baby Trend - Babies “R” Us
It was a git and I used it though my daughter did not like it a lot.She very soon started to prefer to sit in the dining chair with us.If I had to buy one for myslef I think I Would have gotten a booster seat thing that you can fasten on a dining chair (mostly because of space issues).

Re: High chair recommendations

my huby got this for baby n honestly i dont like it :frowning:

**Life of Dora Dori with Premium Beautiful: High chair for Piya

**it occupies space and i always have to apply belt else baby just slips because there is no separation for legs. but it is working fine for me becaause i started using it after 1 year, the only good thing is its tray can be separated, once my baby is done i just remove the tray, wash n dry it n put it back, i prefer plastic one over wooden because if some big mess happens like baby vomits i just wash the whole chair n since its all plastic it dry quickly.

before this i was using this bimboo seat , i simply loved it

Re: High chair recommendations

^I believe the bumbo seat was recalled in the US due to several head injuries so if anyone is buying it please dont buy it without the restraint!

Re: High chair recommendations

i have the same one Gemini the Great has. worked for my first kid and now the 2nd one uses it.

although not a high chair.. i also have this

man i use this for EVERYTHING! eating, keeping her in one place when she didnt know how to crawl…even bathing.

Google Image Result for http://www.babygizmo.com/images/Bumbo2.jpg

and its true.. u can not leave the kid unattended in this. but then u arent meant to anyways.. even in a highchair.

and it doesnt have a try ofcourse… so what i do is.. for hardcore eating.. i put her in this and feed her.. cant be bothered to pull out the highchair everytime.. especially if im not eating…

and put her in teh highchair when we are all sitting at the table… put a lil food on her try so she can practice her eating skills.

i give bumbo a million points!

other than this (yes i know… i have way too many eating aids for the kids).. we were given this as a bday pressy.. keep it in the car as an outdoor aid.. since we are set for in home eating :cb:

attatches to most chairs wtih backs.

Re: High chair recommendations

dont leave child unattendent n it comes with belt also

Re: High chair recommendations

i am with you regarding bimboo i also just love it

Re: High chair recommendations

Yup the bumbo seat has been recalled.
I used to have this one…it comes with a safety belt and can be used in three different ways..

Summer Infant Super Seat Booster/Infant Positioner - Summer Infant - Babies “R” Us

We used it a lot.

Re: High chair recommendations

annoying how a few dumb parents spoil it for the rest of us eh… in regards to the recall.

Re: High chair recommendations

^ agreed

Re: High chair recommendations

I agree, I was just sharing the information that I had read considering I know many parents who had bumbo chairs! for some reasons, I couldnt picture my son siting in there.. too hyper to sit without the belt

Re: High chair recommendations

gtg.. mine can even get out of the highchair.. and i have the same one as u. atleast with the bumbo the fall is minimal  she has fallen out of the highchair twice. amazing eh? dair pasli jo hai! has no bones and can bend in any way possible. midget was like your son.. sturdy.. couldnt bend nor crawl out of tiny spaces.. so had no option but to stay put … hehe

Re: High chair recommendations

My baby when turned 10 months used to get out of it herself n start walking but it was less harmful, but feeding was very easy just put her inside sat beside her feed n put her out n you are done.

Re: High chair recommendations

we didn’t have the bumbo but we had something very similar to it and it was great for when he was younger. we would strap it on to the dining chair and then belt him in it. the best part of the oxo tot chair is once the tray is in, between that and the leg separator, your kid is going nowhere. and its very stable on its feet so even if they try to rock it, it ain’t happening.

i’ve heard really good things about this highchair too: Mamas & Papas
it comes in black, green and purple.

oh, and britchick has this one: its absolutely gorgeous! bloom

Re: High chair recommendations

Hmmm sgc. These one are v expensive lol…

But still.. I m looking at others recommendation too… N plus… I don’t one something like umbo coz I want him to sit with us n eat.. So let’s see

Re: High chair recommendations

Ok I’m looking at fisher price space saver it’s good too

Re: High chair recommendations

We bought a Hauck high chair from Toys’R’Us for our daughter who is now 7 months old. Don’t know the exact model, but it has a little basket at the bottom so that things she drops doesn’t fall on the floor but into that basket.

Re: High chair recommendations

the fisher price space saver is great. a friend of mine has it and she loves it. its strapped on to one of her dining chairs and the baby eats at the table with them.
