A Shankracharya, seer of Kanchi, Jayendra Saraswati is arrested as the prime accused in a murder case. He was arrested and put behind bars like an ordinary criminal. Many Hindu organizations including the pro Hindu part BJP is not happy the way he is treated by the police.
It is a fashion for many in India to abuse Hindus, and demonstrate it publicly. Hindu organizations blame the Tamil Nadu Govt against conspiracy.
There are at least 27 cases pending against the Imam Bukhari in court, but I think no one has dared to issue an arrest warrant against him.

In a sensational development, Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati was arrested late Thursday night as the prime accused in the murder of an official of a Kanchipuram temple.
The 70-year-old senior pontiff of the Kanchi Matth, whom the opposition parties in Tamil Nadu accused of having considerable clout over the AIADMK, was arrested at 10 pm in Mehboobnagar in Andhra Pradesh by a special team from Tamil Nadu armed with an arrest warrant.
