Hi Everyone. I’m new here (well, not new as I’ve been a reader for quite a bit but this is my first time posting) and I need some advice. I quite like this cream/gold/champagne colour and want to wear it for my wedding but have some doubts. A couple of people have told me that cream/champagne doesn’t suit light skinned people as it washes them out and sort of blends into the skin tone. Aside from personal preference, I also chose cream because our wedding will be a daytime wedding and bright colours may look a bit garish since I’m rather light complexioned.** A friend of mine has also mentioned that cream and lighter colours in general don’t look very “bridal.” **

While looking through pinterest for inspiration, I came across a picture of a look that I think describes the look I’m going for. I’m not referring to the exact outfit the girl is wearing (as the lengha in the picture seems to have a corset top, which I don’t like) but the colour scheme and simplicity of the look while still looking bridal. I’ve added the pictures below, as well as, a picture of myself. Do you guys think this look will suit me?

I thought white/ivory gowns were the norm for Afghan brides..
