Why is it not an endorsement of Assad? It shows that assad’s regime is secular, and has support of other secular people regardless of their religious beliefs. On the other hand, rebels all belong to just one sect whose leaders like Qardawi clearly show their sectarian bias.
besides, not all Palestinians who support Assad are secular or communist.
