Palestinian militants have been fighting with and losing against Israel for decades, without any decrease in support.
Indeed, Hamas never won a gunfight with Israel, lost every fight it has picked, but it gains respect from its support base for trying. Indeed, after 2 decades of continuously losing fights with Israel, Hamas ended up getting elected to power. That it was a protest vote cannot account for how they ended up with a clear majority. There were other ways of making protest votes, such as independent candidates.
Watch Hezbollah grow even stronger once this conflict is over. Its support base, the large Shia community which passionately believes in the need to fight Israel until Palestine is liberated, will rally behind Hezbollah once more.
In the middle east, winning the fight is not the issue. What wins support is showing that you have not given up.

Actually Hamas got elected into Power due to the incompetence of Fatah and the corrupt PLO.
As for Hezbollah it maybe riding a high horse right now due to the fight with Israel but once the battle is over a careful analysis done by the Lebanese people will show that Lebanon is not worth being destroyed so that some Hezbollah militants can become martyrs.

Hezbullah and Hamas are fighting in their own way. You would not expect these groups to take on Israel head on....that is stupidity. They have very limited resources and these have to be deployed sparingly.
What I don't understand is why muslims are attacking fellow muslims instead of the real enemy...which are the Zionist. If a victim is attacked then you don't attack the victim for being the victim. This is what seems to be happening with Hamas and Hezbullah.

^ Playing the victim card after picking the fight doesn't make much sense, perhaps these groups that are heroes to many are NOT doing their people any favors.
Mr F, I don't know if it's a lack of balls as much as it is a lack of common sense and too heavy a dose of machismo.

If a powerful bully corners a weak cat then even a cat will fight back. The same is the case with Hamas and Hezbullah. A bully can only get away with bullying for so long before the something snaps.

Hezbullah and Israel are in a state of war...official or unofficial... Israel is holding many of their men and the only way they can get them back is by having something that the Israelis want. This is rational decision. And if Israel decides to launch a war...then a war is what we shall have....there is no backing down or other option. But the killing of innocents is not justified.
