Things change. Israeli casualties between 1998-2000 in Lebanon actually declined. After 15 years of occupation the strategy was reviewed and changed by those in power. The way the pullout was handled was poor and that won’t happen again as we will see in Gaza.
The Celebrations and taunts you see by the anti-Israel crowd in response to the 2000 pullout (even 5 years later) show’s you their desperation and the true score of the game.

That is what defeated forces usually do, whatever the later political spin of some zionists dieheards. Losing 1550 soldiers in Lebanon was a painful experience for Lebanon, and Hezbollah deserves the credit for that, especially for being an Arab-Muslim force that Israel failed to defeat.

Political spin is all zionists have got. They will never dare move into Lebanon again, lest they get more bloody beatings from Hezbollah, and have to flee again leaving their tanks and armor behind. Not many Israeli’s have fond memories of their nasty experiences in Lebanon, or like being reminded of the defeat they suffered at the hands of Hezbollah.
