Re: Hezbollah and its popularity
I clearly asked you to name one thing that Israel has done SINCE THE WAR BEGAN to pursue peace. Not in general (or before the war).
I already named one thing Hezbollah did, which was to acknowledge the need for a ceasefire, something that the Israeli government did not acknowledge and termed as a "sign of weakoning" which apparently justified their action to increase their strikes.
And Israel withdrew from Gaza? I don't understand why the US media makes this seem like such a celebrated and moral move. Do you have any idea of the extent of damage that their illegal settlements did to Gaza?
Have you ever been to Gaza? I bet you haven't. There's much more to this world than your precious state of Ohio.
You mean what has Israel done in 30 days of war to promote peace? Who cares, they are at war?! Hezbullah wanted a cease-fire because Israel was battering Lebanon far beyond the calculations of Nasrallah. He realized that Lebanon was going to be pulverized and 30 days after the bombing stopped, the Lebanese people may want to kill him. Israel will get stronger everyday for the next 30 days. They were shocked and suprised, but today they replaced the General in charge, and they will pour troops into Lebanon. There is plenty of time for peace, but for the next 30 days Israel will pound their enemy. Then it will be time to think about peace again.
Gaza? Gaza and the rest of the Territories were doing very well until Intifada I, and particularly Intifada II. Ask Arafat what he gained by those wars. Nasrallah did not learn from those conflicts that leaving people in poverty, rubble, and ruin is not a formula for honor.
And, it is impossible to insult that which does not exist.
