Hey Torontonians

**where do you buy your tickets from for Pakistan? Contacts of travel agents needed please…I will be calling travel agents who advertise in those Urdu newspapers but I thought it’s better to ask guppies too. It’s better to go to someone who I have heard good and positive reviews about, right?

My parents, my sis and I are planning to go to Karachi in the last week of April INSHALLAH and looking for some deals on airfares.

Also, which airline would you recommend other than PIA? PIA is OK but having to sit in your set for 14-16 hours straight could be real torture and that’s why we are considering other airlines too.

Re: Hey Torontonians

call all the numbers in the urdu newspapers, get an estimate from them, and then go with the one that is the cheapest. honestly.

the last agent we traveled through is FJ Travel and tours, in sauga. there's one in brampton too, wish i remembered their name.

also, personally i don't mind having a stop over on the way. gives the legs a chance to stretch. but be sure to ask the travel agent about lay-over times. best way to have a short lay-over is to not have specific travel dates, but have them flexible.

Re: Hey Torontonians

did you see temperature dropping like a dead bird?

Re: Hey Torontonians

i just booked emirates thru expedia so did a layover in dubai when i went

Re: Hey Torontonians

Etihad airways would be a good option which would give you a stopover in Abu Dhabi.

Emirates is ok and you can stopover in Dubai if you dont wanto fly direct...Qatar airways is really good too, stopover in Doha but you will have to get connections through London...honestly i've flow PIA direct from toronto to islamabad (and I think you can now fly to Lahore as well) and I found it better than getting a connection if you don't wanto actually stopover and stay in dubai or some other city...the time goes by much quicker and the planes are new and pretty nice...just my opinion...

Re: Hey Torontonians

whatever you do...DO NOT USE:

Caravan 4 U Travel in Mississauga

the man, Moin Warsi, is a fraud!!!

Re: Hey Torontonians

personally i don't get the idea of a stop over in the middle east only...i mean with etihad, u do have a stop over, but the flight time is still 13 hrs to abu-dhabi...u might as well toughen it out for another hr and be in pak...if u do want a stop over, take something like gulf airways with a stopover in london and bahrain...but then again, that might just be me :)

we get air tickets from air sonic...close to nugget mosque...guys name is Rafi, and he gives the best rates - at least in the east end! :D just make sure u're paying cash though...i know there's a higher charge if u use visa etc...

Re: Hey Torontonians

Can we stick a thread where people can post how much they bought a ticket for? Would be a nice reference thread.

Let me begin:

Toronto-Karachi
$1710 - Air Canada / Emirates (w 2 stops) through Orbitz.com: December 5- January 1
$2100 - PIA (non-stop) through Skyroute Travel: December 10 - January 12
