Hey married folks,

For all the married people out there:

What do you wish unmarried people understood about your life? Are there certain things that your unmarried friends/family members don’t seem to understand or take for granted?

Please share.

Re: Hey married folks,

that when we want to spend time together as a couple, its not because we have to, but because we want to, and for professional couples that may mean that we will not be available as much for social stuff as we were when we were when we were single, its not that we are less social, but now have two families with family events etc, couple date nights, two sets of friends etc. thats it.

value of friendships dont change, but there are more people we need to make time for now, most importantly da spouse.

Re: Hey married folks,

A married man has to make breakfast for two people.

Re: Hey married folks,

and a married woman have to make breakfast for the entire family :)

Re: Hey married folks,

Only if she made the mistake of rushing to get married and made a wrong judgement in selecting a husband and his family. :p . The woman who married the right guy gets breakfast in bed.

Re: Hey married folks,

good tip :hehe:

Re: Hey married folks,

Just couple of things

  1. Caring for wife does not mean that someone is zun-mureed/BV ka ghulam

  2. When someone is spending time with kids that does not automatically mean that wife is not available to take care of kids. That mean that the guy WANT to spend time with kids.

Re: Hey married folks,

i wish everyone around us could understand that he is MY husband, I know him better. what i know you have no way to know

Re: Hey married folks,

since i was the last one to get married, im not really sure.

but i remember when i was single, i wished my married friends (couples) would invite me to do things with other married couples as a group (eg. get together at a house). . just because im not married, doesnt mean they or i will enjoy less. know what i mean?

Re: Hey married folks,

I like this thread!!

Just because I prefer hanging out with my husband doesnt mean I value my firends less.. I just like him more :D

and i wish they will stop inviting me to girls only stuff and then actually complain if I dont go, we work weekdays and hardly get to spend time together.. my weekends are for my family!
