@pakiland, I agree with this. I am thinking to have my braid down on mehndi. And inshAllah thinking of simple Joora for barat as it will hold the heavy dupatta well. I hope so! Lol
Ladies any recommendations for Mehndi outfit?? I have seen girls looking almost like colourful version of brides on the Mehndi these days! Everyone has their own choice but I wanna follow the old school. Something really simple. I will do my own makeup InshAllah. And i agree about sadaf's eye makeup it is same for all brides but i like her hairstyles as compared to hermaine.
As for kami and jugnu what i see on fb the base is too cakey which is a big No. dont like daaniella or sobia's personally.
Any one have any experience of zarpash? sobia's daughter? someone told me she is good.
it is really a tough decision to decide as i dont have experience of salons in pak :(

Zarpash and Sobia both have some really bad reviews about their work. Also they are mostly overbooked which causes unnecessary stress on the bride. My SIL booked her for my walima but I had to ask her to cancel. Even tho she is a close friend of my SIL but she understood where I was coming from. Her walima makeup is not too bad but she is not even average with red brides. I will post one of her recent red bride and in my opinion the makeup looks more like party makeup rather than bridal.
Another point to add in Sadaf's makeup is that no bride has any contouring on her face which makes their faces look big. And also it's not just about the shimmery eyes when it comes to the eye makeup. I love shimmer but there isn't any definition if you know what I mean. Anyways that's just my personal opinion.

@gemini14 But I have also heard that their makeup doesn't melt. It lasts long and looks beautiful in pics. And a good contouring and blush can always give you a nice bronzy look. What sort of look do you have in mind?

My friend's sister got ready from hermaine and honestly it did such a bad job on her that my friend then later got ready from mosha's on her wedding. Why don't you consider Mosha's?? She is really great with hair style and makeup both, only her base is a little bit darker and not too fine as compared to daniella and sadaf.
Also I saw another bride who is also a friend, she had an expensive ruby shade wedding dress, yet her make up was so plain, a really long winged eye liner that made her smallish eyes look even smaller, and a very very tight joora.. it made her look so plain... it was disappointing. It is all about taste so maybe she loved what she was made to look. I would personally never opt for hermaine's... I think daniella is a much better choice. I personally know some of her brides. I can whatsapp u pics if u want.. I cant upload here openly :)
Also Mosha's is great really. they have a good attitude. My sister got ready from her on her nikah. She did a really great job with contouring and make up. Only her base started cracking up after a while/ still the make up was great. My sister personally prefers daniella the most except for the cheap eyelashes she uses:P girls i recommend buying good quality eyelashes separately :p
As far as Sadaf’s make up is concerned, I like to give a review regarding the contouring thing. Most of the pics that she takes from her phone are paired with a very big bright light bulb shone on bride’s face for s split second. It literally tones down the makeup alot. There is a pic of my make up on her page and my eye makeup looks a lot less defined really. It was actually pretty heavy.
As for the contouring, I strictly told her not to contour my face because I am personally not a fan of contouring. Also my husband specifically asked me not to wear any blush at all as he dislikes the pastry look:p. He also asked me to go for a very very natural make up with red lips. He dislikes make up:p
Thats why I told her not to use any blush on my face. She still used a tiny amount of blush and blended it well. I dislike the blush that is apparent because it looks so un natural. same goes for contouring..
As for the definition, I can honestly tell you she is the best with the eyes!
I have really deep set eyes, as in m eyeball is not bulging. My eyes are not small at all but they are a bit deep set. If u imagine it is a bit difficult to do eye make up on deep set eyes.. Still she made a wonderful crease on my eyes with brown shade that made them look so big and beautiful, without being dramatic! She is an artist and I really was amazed at her taste. She does make up without being obvious. My eyes were looking bigger than they actually are. And she worked on my face with such great attention. She took some time to examine my facial features. She has a good taste in makeup that corresponds to my taste.. If you have a different taste you will not like her. But i just wanted to tell she gave great definition to my eyes but the picture she took was under a huge round white bulb thats why no makeup delicacies were visible. I can send a normal mobile camera pic personally to you Javeria:)
And if you like a contoured look i think you can ask her. She will work according to your choice, I saw a bride on her page, She had a typicall "Jugnu's" look..heavily smoked eyes with nude lips..
I might not choose her on my wedding because her hair stylists literally suckk big time :(
I wish she changes her hair stylists till then :( I would go for her definitely. Otherwise I have no other option but daniella and mosha's. Because I am not a fan of "traditional" bridal look. I prefer light makeup, which makes your eyes look bigger without the strokes being prominent, blush should be light and very well blended. a very very light contouring or no contouring at all:p
I saw jugnu's brides. They had a traditional look. If you like contouring and heavy eye makeup you would like their make up definitely:)
As for sobia, I am not too acquainted with her make up. All I know is that almost all brides have smokey eyes and a lighte peachy lip shade. It works but this look is too typical. I dont think her high rates are justified for such a typical look. Thats why some people give her bad reviews because she doesnt work according to individual's face. Almost all her brides have a very similar hairstyle. One of her brides that I saw recently had a tight hairstyle that made her face look big. Definitely not flattering for her face. What kind of make up "artist" would choose a tight hairstyle for a bigger face?:(
If you're gonna do bold eyes AND bold lips please don't do open curled hair!!! It will be too much. If you're going for very bold makeup then do a simple joora. I personally think I desi vride doesn't look bridal with her hair down. But that's just my personal opinion. But if you're doing bold lips and eyes and dramatic curls then it's al gonna compete for attention and will look over the top. Just my two cents :)
Yes you are right, I didn't think about the whole picture. Traditional bridal make up with bold eyes doesn't look good with tight curls. I dislike it a lot. But I was thinking of lighter make up with long flowing hair and a heavy jora :)
I did the open hair thing on my nikkah and my hair looked really good because my makeup was light and natural, and my curls were really lose. Also I think very dark colored hair look a little less flaterring if let open for a bridal look.

Thanks alot dear i dont want contouring as my face shape is already slim and i get what you and javeria mean by giving definition to eyes that is what i wanted i want them to enhance my eyes but i just dont want that plain shimmery gold look maybe if i tell her to make them smokey instead of just shimmer gold and as compared to hermaine i am liking her hairstyles in recent pictures she posted.
