I’d like someone to examine how Madhanee can give such a provocative (to put it mildly, I’d prefer the term “insulting”) title on a thread on World Affairs (the content of the thread is fine and dandy, but the thread is what I object to).
He’s created a thread with this title to discuss the Darfur crisis, where Muslims but not Islam are responsible.
I’m sure it would be unacceptable for me to create a thread called “Here’s your Hinduism” to discuss the Gujrat riots, because we are all aware it was Hindus but not Hinduism that were responsible.
Could you leave the thread open and do something about the title?
Maddy, good point. It was in retaliation to Nadia’s thread “Here’s your US Democracy”. I agree with you, it was not called for. But I wanted to highlight the ‘silence’ of Muslims over these crisis. I apologize.
How about examing the thread titled "Here is your American Democracy". It was created to discuss a helicopter attack in Iraq where the military or military leaders were responsbile, but not democracy. The title is just as misleading and a generalization as was the other title.
MY title was not the most accurate or balanced one that i should have chosen. i did apologize for the comments i posted after i realized that i had completely let my anger get the better of me.
If anyone has a problem with my posting that thread, please feel free to discuss it with me directly. i would rather individuals approach me directly facetoface (or computer to computer) rather than state things about me behind my back. So if anyone has problems with it, let’s hear them in an open, forthright and honest manner. i sincerely mean this.
Nadia, with over 9000 posts, are you sure that you are not opening a can or worms? Of course people have problem with your posts but 9000 is too many to discuss. And no one is doing it behind your back.
