Here's whats happening...

Whenever I click on an audio thread or a journal which has audio in it, my Firefox crashes…Tried reinstalling it too…

If there is only one audio file on a page, it just says Download and the Windows Media Player box that used to appear before has disappeared and it just starts playing the file…

If there are more than one audio files on a page, they all start playing at once and FF crashes…

This sucks…

Can someone help me?

Re: Here's whats happening...

May I ask which version of Firefox are you using?

1.5.0.1

Re: Here's whats happening...

Do you have the latest WMP?
Have you installed hacks (codes to improve the FF performance) on your FF?
Try the same page with IE and see

Re: Here’s whats happening…

I personally like IE.

I mean modifying Firefox to suit your needs. For starters, here is something:

Re: Here's whats happening...

it works fine in firefox - no extensions.

PS: wait for few(30-60) seconds - cuz ff is loading the plugins.

Re: Here's whats happening...

I fixed it...

The VLC player apart from coming with a standalone player also comes with the plugin...So I just deleted the plugin from my Firefox plugins directory and voila! It works...:)
