Infact ‘Andhra Style’ restaurants are popular in Karnataka. I don’t know about rest of the country.

Infact when Europens landed in India, one of the first things they commented on is how Brahmins seem to be incessantly washing themselves!!!

IT goes for many HIndus too.
Hindus for example don’t gather around a plate and eat in a bunch sharing each other’s Saliva in the process !!

I will give you one quote from a Zoarashtrian WebSite, which casually mentions our legendary cleanliness!!!

Brahmins also had a strict sense of cleanliness and bathed every day compulsorily in the morning, and after passing excreta. For the Zoroastrian too, physical and spiritual cleanliness was very important.<<

We still do. I never drink ‘Bed Coffee’ for example. Nobody has taught me to avoid that. I just find the thought of consuming any liquid or solid before I wash my mouth unthinkable!!!

You don’t find a bunch of Hindus eating french fries and dipping into the same ketchup pot to give another example.

Anyway for the record, I am not offended but just amused.
The one thing noticeable about Brahmins down the ages is how many baths they take for all occassions!!!
