Here's a question

Firstly, I would like to urge everyone to stay level headed when responding to the following issue.

http://www.paklinks.com/gs/showthread.php?t=212343

The above posted link is the thread on ahle bait. In this thread many members have provided insight into the prophet’s (pbuh) family and descendents. So I was wondering when many of my ismaili friends say that Prince Karim Agha Khan is the descendent of the Prophet (pbuh) and family of the Prince are known as the Noorani family, are we to believe them?

I know many sunni’s and other shias don’t consider them muslims but I for one have no doubt that they are true muslims. They believe in One Allah, and believe that Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) was the last messenger of Allah which is the typical accusation against them (i.e. they don’t believe in the above).

Any insight to the above question will be appreciated.

Re: Here's a question

i dont think the deeds or belief of a person can tell us whether he/she is a descendent of the Prophet (saw) or not....

and u need to change ur idea on agha khanis (ismailis), they r definitely not muslims....

Re: Here's a question

I agree with Armughal.

Re: Here's a question

may i know who "ismailis" are.............

Re: Here's a question

IF they believe in One Allah, and believe that Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) was the last messenger of Allah, then why arent they muslim?

Re: Here's a question

Why do they call themselves " ismailis"?

Re: Here's a question

Some shia stopped believing in immat after imam jafer-e-sadiq and some believed imam ismail became the next imam after imam jafer-e-sadiq, hence they are called ismails. Prince Karim Agha Khan is the current imam, continuing from that lineage.

Re: Here's a question

Exactly rite. I think many of our sunni brothers don't appreciate the moderness of the ismailis.

Re: Here's a question

i've heard that muhammad ali jinnah was ismaili is that true does anyone know about it?

Re: Here's a question

^ yes he was.

Re: Here's a question

I've also heard that he was a freemason..........

Re: Here’s a question

Re: Here’s a question

i’ve heard he was a shiaa…
also that he was sunni…
and that he was not into religion at all…

bottomline, jinnah’s religion affiliation with any group does not qualify that group to being a muslim…

Re: Here's a question

I agree....

Re: Here's a question

armughal bhai, it's not up to you to decide who is or isn't a muslim. Infact, why don't u tell us why don't u think they're muslims? Maybe I can clear up any ill-concieved notions as I'm very close to people who are part of this sect.
