We’ve always been moulded by those around us, and if those around us regard a woman working and being independent as a normal thing, then nobody will regard her spouse as henpecked for allowing her to be like that. It is more likely that he will be considered as henpecked if he doesn’t allow her to do those things.

Allowing her… ? I think if the underlying premise of our thinking is IF HE ALLOWS HER…then we couldn’t have moved tht far from our grandparents generations.
