Henna Question

How do you make your Henna come out dark?
Are there certain brand you would recommend to buy in USA?

Re: Henna Question

I’ve ordered my mehndi from this site for the past 8 years : http://www.hunza.com/

The color is absolutely beautiful ( a darkish red ) and it always comes out that way on everyone everytime. In the past everytime I would get mehndi done it would be a dull orange color no matter what I put on it. But the “mud” works really good. Plus if you get the kit, the applicator bottle is really cool and easy to use and make really nice designs… I’ve ordered mine for Eid! I will try to post some pictures once I do my hand and my daughters.

Re: Henna Question

Re: Henna Question

i think if you put oil on the mehndi once its dried, that may help breing the colour out more, had heard this somewhere, not sure how reliable it is, but its worth a try i guess :)

Re: Henna Question

apparantly I heard if u u rub ecalyptus oil on ur hand then the mehndi comes out darker, I've also heard about coconut oil and lemon

Re: Henna Question

U could try either of these

  • Apply Vaseline b4 applying the Mehndi

  • Apply clove Oil B4 or after az it makez the colour come out and makez the mehndi last longer

  • Mix lemon and sugar, make sure the sugar haz dissolved and then apply this on ur mehndi once the mehndi haz dryed.

Thatz wat i kno so far :)

Glamorous, thatz exactly watz ment to happen to glitter mehndi :)

Re: Henna Question

I'm a Henna Artist, i've been doing it for over 5 years and i started using lemon juice and water mixture but since the last 3 years i've been using vicks. May sound silly but actually works! darkens the mehndi alot. Apply it once your mehndi completely dries. Also holds it together really well. Ive always noticed the difference with and without using it. So try it
