Please help I’m really stuck on where to have my hen night dinner in London.. Been looking and can’t find anything different. During the day I’m having a pamper day and trying to find a cool halal restaurant for the evening.
Dont want it to be really expensive either so people can afford it. I’m bored of middle eastern restaurants as well so any ideas please?!!!
To be honest there's mainly lebanese, Moroccan, Turkish etc etc which are all halal, there's not a whole load of options out there.
One place I used for a friend's hen do was this Spanish and Mediterranean mix restaurant in Soho, forget what its called, but they had live singing and dancing too. And it was halal.
Oh and we did karaoke in another place in Soho too.
I have had bad experiences with practically every single Mexican restaurant that I've been to in London so won't try that. I know most halal places are middle eastern however what's the best one in your opinion?!
I would say, the best thing to do is read a few reviews online and look for ideas, I can’t really think of something which I think is amazingly brilliant at the moment
Las Iguanas for south american food - halal chicken, lovely mocktails great atmosphere there is one on southbank with a pretty view. Its very tasty you cannot go wrong!
My bro went to benihanna for japaense halal it a little pricey though but he said it was super fun!
Thanks guys. I have been to Pasha and didn't like the food I prefer Lebanese food. I've been to levant few times already so I'm thinking Kenza looks nice similar to Levant but bigger I guess. Anyone have any reviews of Kenza?
Yeah what Supersummer said, I've been to Kenza and it's quite big and has more space. But ambience/atmosphere seems pretty much the same, and I can't remember what the food was like :/
The food at kenza WAS good - im not a fan of middle eastern food but still enjoyed the meal
I also just remembered a place called circus in covent garden - very apt for a hen night!! although not halal but plenty of fish and veg options and very different too.
La Porte des Indes - Indian Restaurant in London | Brussels this place is pretty good - food is great and halal too - its a nice venue with palm trees and waterfalls etc plus they have a few private spaces which they will give you if the numbers are right… they appear expensive but again I was able to negotiate a set menu with them priced around £25 with a soft drink which is pretty good value
Oooohh, I wanted to check out La Porte des Indes, it has good reviews.
Just remembered another place in Stoke Newingtons, it's called Yum Yums and it's halal Thai food, I really liked it. You can book a private room/space as well which has a dance floor, DJ decks and stuff.
There's another yummy halal place called Piya Piya which has private karaoke rooms too, bookings need to be 10 people at least though.
Red Fort in Soho I think does Indian food, haven't been there but there seems to be good reviews.
I know a couple more but they're more middle eastern type food and if you're gonna do that then might as well pick Kenza or something.
Why not try Momos, it's a moroccon restaurant just off regent st, pricey but great. You could try mamounia lounge, I haven't been but heard good reviews.
Kenza is 5 mins from my workplace so have been there many times, great food better than levant esp. As it does the chicken tagging which I love. However, there's probably less buzz than levant as its hidden away and far from hotspots like the west end.
Les Porte des index has great food but I would opt for the sister restaurant restaurant BLue ELephant, which is a halal Thai place. It's used to be on fulham rd and the inside was like a rainforest but I hears its recently relocated.
Another nice and cheap place is souk medina, anothe morroccan in convent garden, great atmosphere and not as pricey as the others.
