Just wondering if you are properly logged out of all devices?
On a laptop, go to facebook settings, security, and check the ‘Where you are logged in’ button. That will show you a list of devices that you have logged in. eg, Desktop, Laptop, Android etc..

Against each option, there is a link that says ‘End Activity’. Click on it and sign out. After that, so long as you have disabled the toggle button against your name in chat, you should hopefully be fine.
