ok so i’ve tried everythin 4 my acne, medication, microderm, laser whtever, ive hrd using bescan is really gud, but doesnt it dry out the skin, plus ure meant to rub it off the skin once it dries wud that not make acne worst, im needing sum desi totkay for acne, ive spent to mucch on cosmetic procedures, creams and wht not

hate to say it, but it could be hormonal too. best cure is BCP's.

Try Roacuttane.......these are pills used for resistant acne and work miracles.....however you can only get it through a licenced dermatologist & you need to run liver function tests before starting....
Also i dunno if your married because these pills are teratogenic ,so you have to avoid getting pregnant while on them.....
However they really are a "miracle" cure for acne...........U shoud take an extended course of about 6 months at least....

yup it is the same thing! i have used it myself and it has severe side effects and i had them just abt at the end of the course but i didnt finish the course cuz of the extreeme headaches i use 2 get...
I wud like 2 advice any1 who uses it to be really careful and get yr tests done b4 and during the medication 2 c it doesnt damage anything...it took care of my acne bt i didnt think it was worth getting the side effects for...how can u treat one thing and get another one worse or something like that?. But i m just one of those very cautious person who researches b4 taking anything and sometimes having alot of knowledge can make u thing 1o0 things that wont happen 2 u but u get scared so thats y i stopped taking it after i had those headaches and once my bp shoot up or something so that was it for me. HOwever like i said it was abt at the end of the course...i had like only 1-2 weeks left and my acne was all gone only scars left....but after few months or maybe a yr it came back....so i dont know if there yet is a permanent solution for accuatne...but i have personally experienced that a good, balacned diet i.e havin yr fruits n vegetables n eating not 2 much or less and excercising really helps yr skin...atleast it is doing that for me....

Do you exfoliate regularly? Maybe neutrogena products....St ive's apricot scrub? Drinkl lots of water...and make an appointment with a dermatologist who can help you more specifically to your condition

scrubbing and cleaning your face open up even more pores and makes you more prone to acne.
i dun have acne but d occasional spot and sometimes spots which annoy me so much that on the day i try avoid looking in the mirror.
my sisters are blessed with such perfect skin . my skin has gt better over the years i just hope it gets better.
drink lots of water n eat healthy cut down on fatty and greasy foods as well as chocolate.

thnx every1 for ure advice, im actually on progesterone tablets ryt now, so my acne is caused due to a hormonal problems, guess i have to b patient and wait till ive finished my medication course, thnx alot 4 all ure advice

try rubbing garlic on persistant pimples.. warning it does sting a bit. does using a daily cleanser make u more prone to acne aswell?

dude...try Nelsons acne gel..it has sulfur, tea tree oil, benzoyl peroxide..all natural..OMG it does wonders!! I broke out with crazy cysts..and it helped in 2 days!! Works very fast..

I suffered from acne for almost 10 long years, tried everything the dermatologists recommended, but nothing really worked...:( Then finally I was referred to this dermatologist named Dr. Tahir Haroon in Lahore, and he is the one who was able to treat my acne :). And yes, the reason can be hormonal imbalance, as I had it too, and both the doctors-dermatologist and gynecologist- used to have a look at all the medicines being given to me. So this is how my acne came to an end.
But let me tell you, the totka's DONT usually work, you need to deal with the reasons causing acne, so consult a good dermatologist and stick to the treatment prescribed to you, and if you are in Lahore, you can consult the above mentioned dermatologist as well. :)

i went 2 c a gyno and he prescribed me bcp for my very mild acne…i m nt gonna take them…but lemme know how yr treatments goes…

You can consult him in Surgimed Hospital on Zafar Ali Road, you can ask for an appointment at 042-5714411. And yes, he doesn’t mind any questions and explains the entire thing very patiently using diagrams and all, and you know I went to him after getting treatment for my acne from another dermatologist for around two years, which didn’t work, so I was kind of already irritated when I went to him 
but his treatment did work, Alhamdulillah! Another thing is that he doesn’t prescribe too many medicines/topical creams like the other dermatologists, and he is not into changing all the medicines/creams either.

Every medication comes with sideeffects.
And while these are really called miracle pills and im sorry that you suffered the headaches but in the end its the person who prescribed them to you who is at fault to not advice of you the care that needs to be taken with the medication.
The pills are designed to dry out the acne, in doing so they also dry out everything else although you donot suffer from dry skin.
Its best to take Vit C and B with the acne pills. Drinking heaps of water and introducing lots of veges and fruits in your diet.
Also a very good sunscreen is recommended and last but not least the doctor cannot prescribe these medicines if you are at the risk of suffering from any sort of liver failure.
Acne in the twenties/thirties is mostly caused by imbalance of the hormones and yes stopping the medication will bring the pimples back cause you are telling the hormones to run wild again.

my friend went on it, and he had really bad acne too. now if you see his skin you can never tell he had acne. but he was saying that you have to be really really careful when taking it. that make sure you always go and get your tests done, and follow all the directions carefully. he didn’t for a while, and something about proteins leaking into his kidney or something weird like that. he obviously quit, since his acne cleared up and at the same time he didn’t really have a lot of time left on his course anyways.
that stuff takes a bit of while to work, but it does work.
