[font=Times New Roman]Hey guys, I have a quick question here. I have to fill this supplementary form fer schulich skool of business and I need sum good ideas fer the essay questions. Here are those:

[font=Times New Roman]

[font=Times New Roman]a) the undergraduate degrees offered by the schulich school of business involve the study of a prescribed curriculum with a broad base of business studies. Discuss the advantages of mandatory core courses that include a variety of business areas?

[font=Times New Roman] Since, I have decided to pursue a career in business, I would most likely be interested in learning as much as possible as I could from different business courses. As, the more knowledge I would be able to absorb from courses that include a variety of business areas, the more strong my foundation w

[font=Times New Roman]b) At schulich, students enjoy the benefit of relatively small class sizes. Tell us how you would use this opportunity to make the most of your university experience.

Re: helpp plzzzz

hmmm... these are good questions for a BBA admissions application - being a Professor at the School of Business at Wilfrid Laurier, I value both a diversity in curriculum and small class sizes - the latter has become more difficult lately.

In any case, here's what I think:

You need the core courses (Marketing, Accounting, OM, HR) because:

i) it will instill in you, a cross-functional approach to problem-solving ;
ii) exposure to liberal arts and sciences is essential for a career in management ;
iii) the value proposition of an organization to its customers is often based on the effective integration of different business functions ;
iv) a firm understanding of the areas of operations management, marketing, human resources and accounting will give you a diverse choice for pursuing a specialization / concentration later on in the program.

and small class sizes mean a good teacher-to-student ratio which benefits you because:

i) you have have access to your professors ;
ii) can participate more actively in class discussions and case analysis exercises ;
iii) get personal attention when needed ;
iv) forge strong relationships with your peers and make sure that your colleagues will become both friends and career networking resources.

Hope this helps.
