I am sure many of you are aware of the atrocity which took place in Gaza a few days ago. Such a appalling and unnecessary waste of lives.
I want to use this opportunity to urge you all to consider making a donation to help in the aftermath of this disaster. Just as we all delved into our pockets and purses when other distasters have happened. We need to help the helpless, the wounded and give stability to those affected. For those who can make a charitable contribution please, I humbly urge you to do so. It does not matter if the contribution is minute, every little penny/cent/riyal etc counts.
For those who can’t make a financial contribution, can I urge you all to take two minutes out of your schedule and make a sincere and heartfelt dua for those who are affected by this sad situation.
We can either sit back and stare into our TVs tutting at the situation, or we can do our little bit to help.
Jazak’Allah for taking the time out to read this. I am not saying this because I have something to gain from this, but because I feel totally and utterly saddened by all this I know at such times people are most vunerable and we can give them some hope.
May Allah give sabr to those whose loved ones were killed. May Allah bring peace and stability to those is war torn Gaza. Aameen.
If anyone feels offended by my remarks, I humbly apologise. If anyone wants to know about which organisations are helping with the relief effort, please feel free to PM me.

N.B. Mods can you please make this a sticky!
Yes indeed. All my prayers with the Muslim sisters and brothers affected by this sadness.
One also has to consider the aid agencies which are tending to the wounded need aid, money and resources in order to give sufficient care and help to those who need it.
I almost gave up that, there is even a superpower out there, who is called God. Feelings of helplessness took over. However, while watching the raw Palestinian video - a man who just got hurt with the missile kept on repeating painfully "La illaha il lla, mahummadur rasulallah"
NJMasti, certain events in life do make one question their own faith, but often the feeling is fleeting. I am sure quite a few people may experience or have experienced this.
i have in past looked at the aid agencies there is one by the name of human appeal does things like sponsoring a child, zakat and so forth. my question is :anyone here has ever tried muslim aid agencies?which one is the best in getting aid to those who need it? or anyone here who has an idea what things to look for before signing up with one agency.the one i have come across is this Human Appeal International . it looks fairly reasonable to me but trouble is people say all sorts of things(they can scam, money doesnt effectively help the needy) so i want to know what things people check before signing up with one agency.
I normally donate via Islamic relief, DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) or Interpal.
I am a but weary of Islamic Relief in that I have heard some weird stories but I do not want to fall into the trap of listening to all hearsay etc. After conducting a bit of research on my own accord, I am most pleased with the work which Interpal does and the DEC. The DEC came tomy attention at the time of the Pakistani earthquake.
End of the day, aslong as your intention is correct and you are sincere in giving your donation, that's the main aim.
I would suggest if you are a bit sceptical about any aid agency, do a bit of research. Look into their manifestos, their policies, what proportion of the donations go in aid etc.
Just to let you know, especially the UK guppies, that Islamic Relief will be hosting a charity dinner this weekend, in an attempt to raise money for those affected in Gaza.ALL proceeds from the event will go to Gaza.
Before people aske whether I work for Islamic Relief, I don’t. I try to help which ever organisation I can.
