I am glad that the recipe worked. Don't say thanks Afia..your threads motivates me as well..coz since my childhood and until now..i was so used to eating things from outside..and now i wanna try things at home (those that i never made at home). Now i am planning to try a new recipe once a week. I am planning to make ras malai and rabri in the upcoming weeks :-)
Sure, i'll write down the other recipe :)
so nice of u Qrius…![]()
thanks indeed ![]()
you know the procedure for the sheera..so i am gonna tell you the ingredients for the balls.
Ingredients:
powdered milk- 1 cup..about 200gms
egg- 1
baking powder- 1 tsp
maida- 1 tbsp
liquid milk- 1 tbsp
ghee/oil- 1 tbsp
process:
just mix the ingredients and fry them :)
Qrius
thanks
but u missed the quantity of oil /ghee/////
i assume it is no more than 1 tbsp........infact i think half tbsp is enough
will you tell me .......?:)
opps..its fixed..its 1 tbsp..our tbsp are small..so 1/2 isn't enough..but if you think that 1/2 is ok for you..feel free to make amendments :)

Try get some fresh baking powder.
Check the frying time and temperature. Fairly low and slow is good. It needs to be cooked through but not too burnt outside.

I agree. Not that I know this recipe but one has to watch when adding ingredients such as baking powder, baking soda, etc. It's all in the chemistry of the recipe.
Ocassionally one doesn't need to triple those kind of ingredients.
thanks Qrius
actually i'm always afraid of adding more oil coz too many times had to deal with crumbling dough :)
n actually i used 1 tbsp instead of 2 in ur previous recipe ....!!!
thanx AAG ......yeah u r right .....!!!:)

Oh i do that to. Maybe not oil but wet ingredients when making bread or biscuits or something like that....
Better to learn the feel of the dough rather than exact measures sometimes... ;)
Made cookies once and used baking soda instead of flour to roll em...lol :)
A learning mistake...
Salty as heck..and hard as a rock... made xmas ornaments out of em...
They looked really pretty...but tasted horrible!
Figured after that...I should try to learn the chemistry of ingredients.
