That crossed my mind as well yet the families I saw seemed to be doing it indiscriminately to all cases in which they had a say and appears more to do with their denial of their lack of - personal contacts, necessary skills to find good-enough matches, knowledge of what is important and what isn’t w.r.t circumstances, etc.
