so I see a Tab that says 80 notifications but when I click it nothing appears?
Also the activity is cluttering my profile page how do I hide this stuff? There must be some settings I just cant figure them out .

notifications could also be old private messages that are unread.. for the profile i am not so sure, lets see

you guys are relatively new members…once you hit 30 K posts, you won’t have to face these problems…GS treats ‘New Users’ with intimidation
