I’m hoping someone can help me out, as I’m getting married next year, and really want to know of a good cover-up for stretch marks.
I have them on the inner sides of my upper arms, and it has got to the point where I am really conscious of them. I can’t stand them, and they really get me down. I have used Palmers Cocoa Butter, and the marks did improve in appearance, making them more skin coloured, and made them much more softer. I am thinking of going out and buying bio-oil, but I know that it will not eliminate them completely. I really need a good foundation which is water-proof and lasts all day long. I have heard about Estee Lauder Camaouflage, but haven’t tried it, and also Mac Face and Body.
I really need you help guppies…
Re: HELP......
Both Ulta and Sephora carry a foundation brand called "Dermablend" They have foundations which have a really thick consistency, and people love it because it covers up really really dark circles, birthmarks, stretchmarks and even tattoos they wanna hide for a special occasion...If you go to Ulta and Sephora, you can try it on your stretchmarks to see which color works the best on you...hope this helped! :)
Re: HELP......
^it's way too thick, i honestly would not recommend you wear that on your wedding, on your arms especially.
I don't even like the shades they offer. also, it's extremely hard to blend it properly and make it look natural. (on your body)
but it does work well for facial scars, etc.
Re: HELP......
Thank you sooo much fo replying pakieyez. I'm actually in the Uk, where we don't have Ulta and Sephora. Btw, I heard dermablend is very cakey?
Re: HELP......
Any other recommendations?
Re: HELP......
applying vitamin e oil DAILY/REGULARLY works wonder
Re: HELP......

wearing long sleeves !
if your stretch marks are already there for a long time, i don't think anything will make them disappear, it's better to treat them when they appear because that would prevent them from getting worst.
Re: HELP......
I'm not looking for a miracle cure which will erradicate them, just something which will cover them up for a day at the most.
Thanks apple blossom and Shanum for the heads up on the vitamin e oil, I will be buying that instead of bio oil. I'm hoping that after using it for some time, I will be able to cover them much easier.
Re: HELP......
Wearing longer sleeves, definitely the best option and its also very much in fashion these days.

try those see through materials, i think it's so much prettier to have long or 3/4 sleeves, and you won't have to worry about your marks during the wedding.
Re: HELP......
Awwww, thank-you everyone for all your replies and the support. I want longer sleeves for the first day (I've always liked the longer sleeves because they make a person look more elegant, this was well before I had the dreaded marks). I just wanted a different look for the walima, a more modern look. But never mind.... Here's to praying that they fade so I can cover them, iA. Please pray.....
P.S. I love gupshup :)
Re: HELP......
Any thick concealer would help! I know MAC has good ones. Krylons TV paint stick is super thick too, you can try that.
Re: HELP......
Estee Lauder do a nice thick concealer for tattoos, scars and stretch marks too.
