Re: help!!
yes you can take your laptop with you. I give you permission for that
Re: help!!
Yes you can. The cords you have with the laptop itself should be sufficient enough to be utilized in Pakistan, however, make sure that laptop charger is 220V.
You do get high speed cable internet here, PTCL provides you with dsl services, worldcall provides you with broadband services, the same 2 companies and a few more also have wireless internet plans too.
Re: help!!
Taking laptop to Pakistan is not a big problem, while you are having standard European Plug like this, as it will be very easy for you:

If its British, Canadian or Australia or other Plug systems like this:

..then you can get the Plug convertor easily from Pakistan or even from the place where you currently are.
About electric difference it also depends upon the place where you currently residing. Normally it should be fine for Pakistan too but as said, some places have a bit different voltage system.
Here you can details about voltage system in Pakistan.

Have a nice time in Pakistan.
Re: help!!
You need a plug converter. I had a lot of trouble with that because I couldn’t find any so had to use an extension all the time. Lots of cables and stuff. Also there is high speed internet available here. PTCL broadband namely EVO sucks bad. Warid WiMax is good. Good coverage and service etc. Plus it is cheap. 1300 per month, unlimited bandwidth usage. We had both PTCL and Warid at our home for 2 months. I used Warid while dad used PTCL.
Re: help!!
ok thanks everyone..wat about in rural area?
Re: help!!
^^ If there isn’t PTCL landlines then PTCL Vfone will work for that, although it “wont” be that speedy. About electricity its the same through out Pakistan.
Re: help!!
Simple …buy the wireless PTCL EVO USB …and use wireless internet anywhere in Pakistan
Re: help!!
Interesting…villagers with laptops.
Re: help!!
