Help!

I’m going to a mehndi in a week’s time. I don’t know what to do with my hair. The hair’s goes down to mid waist. I was thinking of curls but i’m not too sure. Back combing the front, hair pinned up and curls, maybe?

Another thing what to wear? A white or peach anarkali?

Re: Help!

Don't go for white. Your skin colour is mA fair so white would look odd. Plus I think you already have worn white once. Go for peach. Hair thing, I am not an expert. Curls would look nice with an anarkali. Maybe wear a tikka too while you are at it.

Re: Help!

Awwwww it’s good to see you posting :hugz: That was white and silver this is white with copper coloured embroidery. Since i’m not much of a jewellery person I might just stick with a tika only, not a bad idea.

Re: Help!

Haha yeh it's good. How does this white look? Can you show me? :D The peach what is the colour combination of that one? Yeh tikka would look pretty on you, you would look like a princess! :D

Re: Help!

Peach with silver embroidery and white gem stones. Sure i’ll send you a pic of the white outfit. The wedding is of a family friend I hope I don’t look over the top :smack:

I forgot to mention that the peach outfit has a silver/grey churidar with it.

Re: Help!

I asked my mum right now if you had those two choices which one would you choose and she is like PEACH. I also think the peach with silver sounds good. I dunno how it looks in real life. You should look elegant in a subtle manner :p

Re: Help!

White with silver looks elegant. How about you wear with anarkali, silver bangles, baby pink/peach gloss and blush, and make loose curls in your hair from half length. Straightened hair would look too plain.

Re: Help!

I don't want to straighten my hair for the same reason you mentioned. Yeah I could get curls done mid way of my hair length.

Re: Help!

Why not a loose plait your hair with a paranda, and have soft curls/tendrils around your face...the latest fish one look rather nice :)

Re: Help!

That sounds lovely! I could skip the paranda and maybe get the hair dresser to put in some extensions for a long plait! I'm getting happy now. Thank you so much :DI need to find a pic to show her.

Re: Help!

If you are going to get extensions to make a longer plait, then make sure they are thick,ie.you don't want the end to taper off in to a 'poonch',but have a uniform thickness down to the end.IYKWIM...
....hope you have a lovely time.I'm sure you will look totally delish...:)

^ I love it when a plait tapers at the bottom...if it was thick the whole way down it'd look a bit weird imo.

I'd go for a plait as well, maybe have it fall on the side? I like the sound of the peach outfit...I love wearing peach in the summer!

Re: Help!

Awwww thanks charmed one :)
Syraa yeah the plait could fall to the side. It sounds perfect! I love peach, my outfit is a very light peach colour.

Re: Help!

plait ur hair ina paranda n bring it to the side ... it always luks nyc under a anarkuli ..... n a tikka on its own wud luk really nice

Re: Help!

I dont like parandas :( Thanks for the idea though :)
