i’m all depressed! i’ve been brooding over it for sometime and have come to some horrible conclusions, tell me if i’m wrong.
here they are:
almost everyone accepts the religion he/she is born into.
no one really explores other religions with a positive frame of mind - if they are looking at the tenets of a religion that is not theirs, they are usually looking for weak points. hinthint
everyone insists that his/her religion is the true one, even though there are thousands of other religions of which the person hasnt even heard the names, let alone the teachings.
religion has pretty often been a great divide. perhaps it does unify communities, but IMHO it divides quite a lot more that it unifies.
God is an egoist, coz he cant stand folk who refuse to acknowledge him and pay their obeisance to him thru the “true” religion.
God is a tyrant, coz he expects people to show their affection for him, but doesnt mind them killing each other over his name.
so is this thing called religion really worth it?
If i were God, i’d live incognito - people who can love their fellowbeings get rewarded, others get the treatment. After all, thats the basic philosphy of all religions, if you subtract the villain (aka God).
well queer it seems if u are confused about god and ur belif,
u know if some one is on the right path deep down they are sure and they know they are following right, but u seem confused.
i follow islam i read islamic books which increase my knoldege but never confuses me about my belive because i know i am on right,
good example for this is that.
if u are wlking to go to town or any where else, if u know the way u wouldnt think twice that the the way u are walking on is right or wrong beacuse inside u are sure that u are going right.
but if u are unsure of the way to go into town then u will tend to think all the time the way i am taking is it right or wrong where will it lead me.
so if u are confuse about ur religon then do ur self a faver read islamic books.
also do not use such phrases for god he is great the most merciful.
if u belive on him u will fell that its true.

I agree with you but very few people on this forum will understand what you are saying. Most people I find are brain washed to hate Kafirs and non-believers and it is almost impossible to undo years of brain washing to see other people as human beings first and Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs second.
Most important function of a religion is group forming and organizing people to get an advantage over other groups, a good example of this war over possession of Kashmir. In this instance the religion is used to organize people and psyche them to grab a piece of land for political advantage.
Religion has very little to do with God and spirituality.

i dont really care what u think of me, what i care is that what my lord Allah thinks of me.
Also i understand that u start to get fire under ur chair when some one tells u the truth about ur fake religon. but if u are following the fake religon by ur own choice then learn to hear the truth about it too.
i pray to my lord to show u the right path.i know if u become muslim u will turn into a good person.it is not ur falt that u saying bad things or showing bad atitue, abviously if u had a god to pray to so u could ask him to make u good but u have nothing to pray to beacuse u belive on nothing but some idols of monky elephant.

Only muslim are good people others are bad, very good thinking and logic. Do one's actions matter at all ...is there any place for goodness, kindness or toleration towards your fellow human beings and peaceful co-existence.
I don't think you will understand any of the above concepts because they are too deep for you, anyways thanks for your kind remarks.
P.S. I have no intention of changing my religion or my values so please stop trying.

I am not saying only muslims are good and others are bad.
some humans are good some bad.
but i do say that only muslims belive on the right Lord and have right religon,
i guess this is a perfect logic.
we do have goodness and kindness in us see if there is one kashmir city is been tolerated by u hindus and muslims from all over the world are helping muslims in kashmir.
so u have to except we have goodness and kindness.but i know some times humans make mistakes too.
