i went to Mac too and tried full coverage. for one thing it didn't giv me full coverage and i couldn't find the right shade. the shade that came close still looked fake on me.
i'm gonna try jane iredale next.
I have to mix two shades of Full Coverage together to get the right shade for me. It was a bit tricky at first to mix the right amount as I need more of one than the other, but it definately gives me full coverage and I have awful acne scars.

Are you sure it was full coverage. Just asking because only pro stores (not free standing) carry it and they are rare. I don't think there is one in Alberta according to the search results. Most people (even the MUAs) mistake studio tech for full coverage.
Matching shade is tricky though. Being a pro product, they expect people who will buy them will mix them.
That's because it used to to be a regular product (like, 1.5 years ago or something). They changed it to being a pro only line so that's why you can't buy it on the website any more.
Anyway, I just go to the store and say I wanna try something and can I have a sample please.
No, it wasn't Pro only then and if it was, you wouldn't have been able to buy it on the regular website. You can google to confirm this.
I've been following mac products for a long time now. I'm pretty sure no one around here knew of the 20% off days at Fouberts Place before I mentioned them etc.
funny dat, I always thought it was a pro product, but then why couldn't u buy it from a normal mac store back then? and the women on the counters would tell me its a pro product too.
How long ago are you talking about? MAC transition their products sometimes. They probably took it out from stores first and then the website.
The women at the counters don’t know what they are on about half the time. As I said, most think you’re referring to Studio Tech if you ask for Full Coverage, especially if they haven’t been working for MAC very long.
studio tech is medium coverage and is way more creamier then the full coverage also it has a separate compartment for the sponge underneath. which the full coverage doesn't have.
Yes... I know what studio tech is. People and the mua's get confused as in it's description it has 'full coverage foundation', especially if they have never come across the real 'Full Coverage' one.
OMG stoppit u r so right. after reading ur post i went back n chked the label n it was studio fix not full coverage she kept trying on me. what a foolish girl. i clearly asked"do u carry full coverage? and she said “yes we do” n i was equally foolish for not checking the name of prouct she kept trying on me :sigh:
Well you can probably return it if you don’t like it and it’s been less than 28 days. MAC usually take returns on products if they are not the right shade, especially if you say the MUA gave you the wrong product. Not sure about department store counters but definitely in MAC stores.
Some girls swear by MAC's face and body foundation.. these are girls with really bad acne scars.
Really? I saw this foundation and I got excited because it's 120 ml worth of product for a similar price as the 30 ml foundations! But, then I thought maybe it wasn't as good as the others in terms of coverage. The site says it provides a 'sheer, natural coverage' so would it cover up acne scars?
I’ve never heard of Face & Body being good for acne scar coverage. I did try a sample of it before I bought Full Coverage too and I hated it; it has a watery consistency and looks so fake and greasy. I kinda expected that anyway coz the mua who gave me the sample said she was wearing it and she looked baaaaad but I’ll try anything once.
