Ok so yesterday my mom took me to get my hair highlighted even tho i didnt want to get my hair done.
So I had auburn hair and I picked a brownish-blondish tone for the highlights.
However the highlights turned out to be orangish - yellowish!
I cant even look at my self in the mirror. Half og my head is orange red and yellow and the other half is brown and black.
Now I am going to color my hair on my own at home. I was thinking of either getting back to auburn OR Black because I have been noticing that black is in these days - Right or wrong?
What do you guys suggest should I go back to auburn or black. Which would cover up the highlights more and give an even tone - auburn or black?
I can't it looks really bad and. I look like a clown. And because of professional purposes I cannot go back to work like this. I only have till monday.
This happened to me the first time I got highlights done and as soon as I read you went to get highlights I knew that was the case with you even before reading any further.
Just color your hair to a darker color, that's what I did.

i know how you feel, i've had a similar experience only it was much much worse. i dyed my hair 3 times in 2 days that day. not a good idea, but i had to.
quick fix tip for u .
get a darker shade of casting creme gloss frm loreal n just put it on your hair, since it isnt a permanent dye it wud come off in 2 months .and it wudnt damage ur hair. ur hair is stressed now dont damage it by going for another highlighting. plus u will have ample time to think how to fix ur problem.
if u dont mind my asking .. where did u get those highlights from? which saloon ??
do it in the darkest shade of brown. judging from the colour it turned, it won't take a darker dye that well anyways. black will just come out weird. darkest shade of brown will probably make it a normal brown.

coccoo - i live in toronto and i got my highlights done from a salon here called lisa's.
i had some crazy stuff done to my hair once at a toni&guy academy. the colour was ok, it was caramel (not all over, it was some funky 'in trend' dye job with a reddish brown too). i hated it but everyone loved it. after a while i had enough though so dyed it in a darkest brown. the caramel bit only went a regular chestnutty brown though.
Hello stoppit, I dyed it black and it looks absolutely amazing! It covered all my highlights and now all the rainbow colors are gone. And since I never had black hair b4 .. i was a bit nervous but God it looks goood! =D
^ YES! Black looks amaaaaazing, The dyed black! Especially if you have light eyes, OMG they jus stand out SOO much!! I LOVE dyed black hair, and bleach blonde hair!! However i've been thru both of them phases and now doing my natural light brown hair but sooo tempted to go for black..............
yep .. i m loving it .. i m thinking of getting bleach blonde extensions (No highlights, Never again! :l ) and gonna put thm up in a peek-a-boo style type of thingy. =P
