Help!!!

What do you do if your face breaks out in a swelly rash after waxing and you need it to get better soon because you have to go somewhere in a few hours?

Ice?
Any ideas? Suggestions please.:frowning:

Thanks.

Re: Help!!!

Try ice but i dont think its going to get better in a few hours. I have had that problem and it took a few days but your skin might be different. Sorry it happened.

Re: Help!!!

It's my entire face...:(:(

Re: Help!!!

Nothing is going to make it go away quickly unfortunately.

What sort of a rash is it? Does it have tiny white pastules??

If its just swelling and redness it might go away in a few hours, dont apply anything on it, you might end up irritating the skin further, A icepack might help calm the skin down a bit.

If its a rash with tiny pastules then thats a different story.

Re: Help!!!

I went to get my eyebrows/upper lip waxed...the lady got me to get an all-over wax done. Now it is just redness and swelling...not pustules or anything...it's just that it's all over and I have to do a presentation tonight..in front of like 100 people! What was I thinking?

Re: Help!!!

An all over was on an unprepared skin is bad, esp if you havent had a facial in ages, the was pulls out the hair and the dirt inside trapped inside the follicles.

Have you got an antibiotic capsule?? break it and add a bit of water to it to make into a paste and apply it all over.

But such things take time to heal.

Re: Help!!!

Aloe vera gel (pure from the plant) or calamine lotion (from Boots or any other Pharmacy)- really help calm and soothe the skin.

DO NOT use anything else on your face at the moment- it might block your pores and lead to spots or further irritation.

Hope this helps and good luck. x

Re: Help!!!

Ok…I can do that. My skin is better after the icepack. Thanks.

I have clear aloe vera gel…lemme try that after I wash off the antibiotic paste.

Thanks ladies…:bb:

Re: Help!!!

Yeah it helps, antibotics are just a wonderful thing for people who arent allergic to it :(

I am allergic to it :D

Re: Help!!!

I have it on...as of now. Will update later. Amoxycillin.....

Re: Help!!!

Coolio just dont rub the skin and let it calm down on its own.

A little bit of redness is okay under the foundation, will give you a blushed effect as long it calms down to a little bit.

When applying makeup dont use bristle brushes or sponges, they irritate and already sensitive skin to the max, Use Tissue instead, not even cotton bud as cotton bud is also very irritating.

Re: Help!!!

Awwwwwww. Thanks for the help and taking the time girl. Really appreciate it. :bulbuli:

Re: Help!!!

Let us know how you get on. x

Re: Help!!!

Mine does that after threading and the salon lady uses this cooling aloe vera gel. That helps within half an hour or you can also apply olive oil.

Re: Help!!!

Well people, I'm back and it went off well. My face had definitely calmed down after the ice pack, antibiotic treatment and aloe vera. Some people could tell but most were unable to see what happened.

Thanks everyone for such great suggestions.:)

Re: Help!!!

yup pure aloe vera gel from the plant, will help to calm the rash down

Re: Help!!!

:smilestar:

u let some one wax ur whole face???

pagal u never mess with the tiny face fuzies ../ it can gro more or something. best to just bleach…

i hate when these ladies try to thread my whole forehead when i ask for eyebrows only…

i have to scream an stop them

hope ur face is all better now

Re: Help!!!

Maybe you were allergic to the wax they use. I use honey and the usual itchiness i used to get on my legs etc is gone. I can even use on my face now.

And I was going to suggest ice and clear aloe gel as well but they beat me to it :(

Re: Help!!!

always apply some baby or any other type of soft oil after wax

Re: Help!!!

Can you believe I did that Hinnzie? Never ever again.

Thanks Aly-Sam. I feel better today but my cheeks are still flushed and rashy. I applied some more aloe vera.
