i am 21…& dont know the first thing abt make up…i see loads of gals wearing it…so i tot i shud start as well. i do have lipstick & mascara wch i hardly use.
i dont know wch products to buy & how to select…i have tried but the problem is…in the shop with all the lights & stuff it looks good…when the moment i walk out in the sun…it all look so overdone ( i am a very simple gal…i prefer the natural look…nothing too overdone ).
So plz help me…where shud i start??
P.S: i live in a hot & humid country…so wat kinda make up shud i use..i dont want the make up coming down with my sweat & stuff.
btw…how often do u gals wear make up & how much? ( just curious )
u determine if u think there are any imperfections on your face, like a spot or dark circles, oily skin, uneven tone, thin lips etc etc and buy makeup that will enhance your features. e.g. i have dark circles undereyes due to not enough sleep so i use concealer that matches the rest of my skin to make my eyes look awake. its never a one size fits all thingy. u should go to a makeup counter and tell the lady your preferences...i.e. natural look.
yea i am getting dark circles cuz of not enuff sleep...but do have pimple marks...so wanna hide dat & like i said...since the store is all lighted up...it looks perfect but once u step out of the store...it looks alil weird & outta place in the bright day light. so can u recommend something for the day...in the daylight...?
what is it that she's putting on your face to hide the marks? is the counter lady using foundation?
its better to use concealer to cover individual spots than use full face foundation. try prescriptives cosmetics, they customize colors to match your skintone.
also you know what sometimes the store ppl dont blend it well. maybe al u need to do is grab a makeup sponge and blend it till it disappears.
in hot and humid country i am not wearing any foundatiun…just powder to unifie and matifye the skin
and some gold shimmer powder to make a little subtle glow on my face…blush is usually not necessary when it’s hot…the cheeks gets naturally pink:blush:with heat
some lipgloss of a similar shade to your natural lips…makes a nice look without looking too overdone;)
dont put makeup on just coz other chicas are doing it. If ur skin is plain forget about it, there is nuthin more prettier than natural beauty.

p.s: u should try to use creams that would eliminate those marks while ur covering um.
2g2 tell the counter lady exactly what u want and try out the stuff on your own instead of at the store. Choose natural looking shades if that is what u like. See how they suit u in daylight and then decide if you want to keep them or not. If you don;t like the way something looks on you u can always return it.
if you dont need it, def no foundation, start with light colors. I was exactly like u, never into makeup and then slowly i was sucked into this habbit. I love eye linners, and basically anything to do with eyes, i usually dont wear it though, only on special occasions. I love my kajal and lip gloss on a daily basis. Like i said start with naturals and nudes.

oil free foundation...can u recommend some brands? And also do u know of any cream to get rid of my marks completely? i tried afew but doesnt work.
its not refundable here & u cant exchange them after using them..after remvoing the wrappings. The counter ladies wud tell u anything to sell their products...& like i said..in the airconditioned room....it looks real nice but out in the daylight..i dont know..somehow it looks weird..probably cuz i have never worn em...
and also wat does face powder actually do for you? i dont like using foiundation..i normally use tinited moisturiser and some concealer...but i heard that face powder is a must and gives you a fresh glowing look? is that true? im thinking of giving it a try but i dont want to look like ive got makeup caked on my face..... i would rather just look natural
