The classes in my university are enormous, sometimes 700 people in first year classes. So that's one thing that should be targeted.
Less multiple choice exams because they just test memorization mostly. More short answer and essay exams.
Kick out all the profs that are there just because of their credentials, and not because they know how to teach.
Classes requiring student participation - need small class sizes for that.
A more active student government. A less apathetic student body :)
More clubs on campus. Clubs should have a higher profile and be more active on a regional and national level. they should also be more visible on campus, we hardly know what clubs we have here, when they are recruiting, and so forth.
Lower fraternity / sorority fees. Better organized rushes. I went to one and was put off by the fees and the lack of enthusiasm.
More than just one newspaper, radio station, TV channel so that all views are represented. My university has a very limited media.
A more aesthetically appealing university. So a complete overhaul of the ugly buildings that dominate.
Bigger campus.
More parking lots, safer parking lots.
