Asalaamalaikum! Well..I recently joined this portal in hopes to meet fellow muslims that can maybe help me learn more about my faith. I reverted to Islam last year and have been a muslim for sometime now. I want to meet some muslimah’s who live in the NJ area that i can tlk to and can help me. I dont care about nationality..remember..there shudnt be any nations in Islam nwayz..hehe..jus something i learned. Well..i dont mind any brother’s contacting me..but it would be great to have a friends that are muslimahz rather. Thanks and all of you take care!

Walaikum Assalaam, Rachana and welcome to Gupshup. i wish i lived in NJ so i could help you out in person (i live in Canada though); if you want, totally up to you, i can give you my e-mail address so if you ever have anything you want to discuss, or just want to exchange e-mails with a fellow Muslim sister (i don’t know if you feel lonely or whatever, or just want another Muslim to talk with), you can always feel free to drop me a line. No obligations, nothing, just offering that - it’s totally your call.
As for the learning part - i think all of us are on a journey of learning more about our faith, whether or not we are raised as Muslims. From that perspective i sort of tend to believe we’re all sort of in the same boat, so don’t feel alone. If you have any questions/comments, don’t hesitate to open up threads in this Forum to seek clarification. i’m sure you’ve already found some really informative Islamic websites on the 'net. Hopefully those sites may address some of your questions as well in a more knowledgeable manner.

It’s a great site. Also in Yahoogroups, you have many groups in English, also to learn more about Islam, you also have groups just for women, I’ve joint one in Dutch, so that won’t be very helpfull I’m afraid, but maybe if you take a look, perhaps you can find there also groups in English, there is one, but not so active, it’s called Islamic Women 's Forum, but unfortunately not many posts in that group. But I’m sure there must be more. So you coudl try there too.
