I live in Canada but I’m getting married in Lahore February 2010, and would love to receive your recommendations for Halls and makeup…
Does anyone know any amazing halls that provide modern decor and elegance without charging a rediculious amount!! I have tried online and havent had much luck
Also can anyone recommend a good photograpgher and videographer for the wedding…i have seen some videos of cousins from back home and the videos are horrible with flashy screens and zoom ins and outs…
any help will be greatly appreicated!!!

For makeup there isnt much of a choice. i would recommend either madeehas or athar shahzad. If you are into allenora or if u';ve seen their work and are satisfied ,then thats an option for u aswell. personally i think their makeup is loud.
For halls there is a lot of variety. However, februaury is good weather , and doing it outside in marqees is the best. Also if u are looking for a good hall, a recent diccovery is a qasr e noor (new one) in garrison grounds. it has high ceilings and is pretty good. it doesnt charge ridiculous amounts either.
For wedding shoots there is athar shahzad, afzl, shahnawaz, deevees, maram aabroo. PErsonally, i think deevees is good value for money. i really liked afzl but some of his recent work is very disappointing and he chrges 35k. deevees, 20k.

I can share my experience with Afzl the photographer! It was awesome. His nephew did most of the pictures, he was a young dude we got into sync with. Since it was late at night, they did another casual shoot a few days later in natural light in the afternoon/evening in their garden outside with benches and peacocks. They give an album, lots of loose pictures and a CD with high resolution pictures.

well i saw some pictures done by him, he shot a picture where the couple was on a neon green motorbike( well he added it later) it looked so tacky! as far as i remmber afzl was very minimalist , more into capturing small moments , not filmy movie scenes.
