Help with understanding TMobile cell phone rate plans
Update: I made the switch!!!
We have a friend that owns an at&t authorized cell phone store…we bought a iPhone 5s for me and a S4 for my husband. The phones were basically brand new/restocked from customer returns.
I went to an AT&T store and got my sim switched went online and requested AT&T to unlock the 5s. Whole process was pretty seemless. Phone was unlocked within 48 hrs of making the request.
Went to Tmobile yesterday and made the switch. I’ve got the 3gb of data while hubby has the 1gb
Khatti khush, sab khush ![]()
Re: Help with understanding TMobile cell phone rate plans

It’s not a Galaxy S5. It’s an iPhone 5S. Not S5 but 5S. Big difference, Be happy now.

There's not much difference between the S4 and the S5 so if he got an S4 he's doing great. The S4 is my personal favorite phone of all times. As for the iPhone series, what Khatti got is the best model in the iPhone series. So they're even.

a big hmmmmmmmm again… Thanks for explaining ![]()

If you’re trying to say that how come a woman is getting the latest smartphone over her husband who has one generation older, then start a Life & Relationships thread. Here are some ideas:
Re: Help with understanding TMobile cell phone rate plans
No, i did not mean it that way. What i meant was, they bought different Models. What was the reason behind it…! Besides, Your idea is very interesting… A skirmish will break out between Patti and Pattnie’s Troops in Life n Relationship… Utimately, i am the one who will fall prey and face the music. I can not fight like the men of “Pakistan affairs” and Women of “Life and Relationship” toba ![]()

PA may to barri zubaan chalti hai..
We got different models because my husband is not a fan of Apple and wanted Android. I stayed with a Apple because our son has the iPod and IPad mini and I stay in contact with him through iMessaging when he is out with friends or at school.
Aur kuch?

Would I be considered a traitor if I say that I am thinking about getting an iPhone? I just got iPad mini (was cheap and my sister got one before moving back to Pakistan and I needed to get in touch with her through facetime) and wanted to see how to the product integration works within apple. Anyone tried that with the exception of facetime and imessage?
Re: Help with understanding TMobile cell phone rate plans
How did it Att unlock? did you cancel the plan or did you buy the phones outright? ATT used to be very good. Call em up and they would unlock without even asking for a phone number but now you have to go online and they do thru checkups. i used to get so many phones unlockedk.

AT&T has gotten very strict about unlocking devices. Customer service told me 98% of requests they get are fraudulent/stolen phones. To get a phone unlocked, you have to put a request in from their website (attwireless.com/deviceunlock). They have certain criteria you have to meet (how long you've been a customer, are you out of contract, is your bill currently paid up, have you ever requested a unlock before etc). They allow you 1 unlock request every 6 months with a maximum of 2 in a 24 month period.
My previous phone was the iPhone 4s. i have been having trouble with it for the past year or so, it wouldn't back up to iCloud nor through iTunes. Apple store told me the software was corrupted and it was probably time to get a new phone. The 5s I bought was from a friend who has a cell phone store and is an authorized AT&T agent. When I got the 5s he mailed me, I went to my local at&t store and they gave me a new SIM and the phone was then on my name. The next day I went online and submitted request to unlock the 5s and within 48 hrsi got the approval via email. All I had to do was backup and restore the phone through iTunes. Once the phone was restored to factory settings the iTunes screen said "congratulations your device is now unlocked"
From what I've learned, this is the only way to get it unlocked....neither the AT&T stores nor authorized agents/dealers have the ability to unlock, you have to submit the request online

I was checking in with her because she mentioned an authorized dealer. I am not big on unlocking phones thru unauthorized places.
Re: Help with understanding TMobile cell phone rate plans
Att iphone used to be very cheap to unlock. $1-$5 max. now upwards of $80. from what i read online websites companies were going to Att server and unlocking them. they had a person inside the company that would help them out. since ATT found out they have closed the loophole. i use to send phones to pakistan often. make good side.
