Help with this outfit please! :)

Hello to all you GS fashionistas!! I need help on putting together an outfit for a Pakistani social event coming up next month. I wanted to do the jumpsuit with an over coat style - and since its a party wear outfit and doesn’t need to have a lot of work on it, I ended up finding a super gorgeous electric blue jump suit from Charlotte Russe that fits perfectly as opposed to having someone else make it in Pak since I’m picky about fitting. I wanted to have an over coat made for it and I really couldn’t decide on what color to pair it with. Some items on the jump suit will be adjusted like the peak-a-boo area around the mid drift which will be covered up under neath with the same fabric and colour as the jumpsuit.

The picture really doesn’t do justice to the jumpsuit but it really fits so nicely on me (which never happens lol) and the shade of the blue really pops so I am quite excited to get suggestions on what to pair it with from you guys.

Here is the jumpsuit:
Lattice Cut-Out Chiffon Bustier Jumpsuit: Charlotte Russe

These are the ideas I was considering for the coat with probably some kind of borders of either light kaam or embroidered lace most likely but what colors would look nice with this blue and should it be in a chiffon or a french lace/ net fabric? I was really trying to avoid black, white and pink but lets see.

And if anyone has a full length view of this one, it will be helpful!

Re: Help with this outfit please! :)

How about some shade of green to go with electric blue.
I have no idea about the material to use.

Re: Help with this outfit please! :)

apparently red and blue combo is quite in these days
I would even consider a royal purple over the electric blue.....if done in chiffon with electric blue dhaagay ka kaam I'm thinking it will look elegant....sort of like pic #1 but less contrast.

Jeweled colors suggested above are great. I'm gonna throw in a deep jeweled pink color. I like the kaam on the first one posted above.

Love the last jumpsuit. Want it!!!!

Re: Help with this outfit please! :)

I like the last pic with the sheer nude coat over a bright colored jumpsuit. You could even do a very light mint green in place of the nude.

love this idea!

Re: Help with this outfit please! :)

Thank you guys so much for your help!! After two attempts of making jumpsuits and having them not fit properly once on, since jumspuits have a bit of a funny look to them already, Im quite excited for this outfit! Loved all your suggestions!

^The sheer coat in this is quite pretty. Does anyone know where it’s from/who it’s by?

What happens when you need to ‘go’ whilst wearing a jumpsuit - whole outfit has to come off? :hmmm:

^ that is what I have heard! lol
Megzhan I want to know the same, it looks familiar but I can't seem to find which designer! I just love the embroidery on it.

Re: Help with this outfit please!

Designer is Erum Khan, no idea on the price tag though.

It was in Pantene Bridal Couture Week 2013 Lahore.

^ Thank you! :)

Re: Help with this outfit please! :)

out of curiosity how will you make that neckline work for you? love the outfit btw!

Help with this outfit please! :)

It's being altered to be turned into a scoop neckline with the same fabric that I have of this suit. thanks! Will post pics of it completed soon! Decides to make the coat myself too, found some really cute fabric in a black net (unfortunately no others colours were looking as nice in the other things I was finding.)

Re: Help with this outfit please! :)

I got myself a jumpsuit that I really liked though I was concerned about the neckline.
How did you find the matching fabric to alter the neckline ? Did you get an exact match in terms of color and fabric?
