help with tarragon..

I have never tasted it or is it something I have tasted and just the name is new or different?? can anyone tell me what is it and how does it taste? like sour? sweet? tasteless? like parsley or mint? like what?? any idea??

It is called “teragann” in Hindi and has a little pungent taste. I am not sure if the the name would be same in Urdu too…

Tarragon has a very strong and pungent flavor, a cross between licorice and pine in taste. It’s typically used in French cuisine–sauces (like a bernaise sauce) chicken & fish. It’s one of their herbs that you either love or hate. It’s tastes nothing like parsley or mint or cilantro. I’ve never come across it in Pakistani cooking and can’t really imagine how it would be used in Pakistani foods.

Hm… thanks for the info khatti…Yeah I think I shall buy and try it… I was planning to cook Chicken Kiev and so it is one of the ingredients :slight_smile:
