Re: Help with hair straightener!

wt is the right way to do the hair straight? is any thing applied before straight or no?

I was searching and found out that the latest ghd straitghner are not that good like the old ones. Lots of peoples straitghners are broken after just some months.
So any specific ghd I should look for?

Re: Help with hair straightener!

i have this one:

my hair is so kinky, nappy and frizzy, and this straightener is amazing! it used to take me an hour and a half to straighten my hair..now its 20-30 min and im good to go! my hair looks so silky and shiny after i use it.

i love love love it!

Re: Help with hair straightener!

I have both ghd and babyliss. GHD is far the best one. Well worth it. Had for a year now and has not given any problems

Re: Help with hair straightener!

The best thing to get is a 100% ceramic iron as it gives the smoothest results and causes the least damage to the hair. Most hair irons, even the high end ones like CHI and GHD only coat ceramic on top of other metals. Depending on the brand, the coating might be thicker then others (for example the cheaper brands like revlon will have a super think coating). With time the ceramic coating will wear off and you'll be left with a useless appliance that will essentially butcher your hair. There are only a few brands out there that use 100% ceramic plates. FHI (not to be confused with CHI) is a high end brand that most high end professionals use. Hana is another brand that uses 100% ceramic plates. It's less pricy than FHI. Amika, I believe is the cheapest brand that uses 100% ceramic plates. I've placed an order for an Amika, I'll let you folks know the results when i get it

Thanks for replying everyone.
Yes please do share your experience with The one you have ordered :)

Re: Help with hair straightener!

dear all u forget my question. answer me also . i am waiting...........................

Yes you should always be applying a serum, or a heat protection spray BEFEORE using the straightner. You can buy them at Walmart or go to your nearest beauty supply store & buy something to protect your hair & minimize the heat damage.
