help with dig. camera

i took some pictures with my dig. camera saved them on the mmc and then uploaded them on to my pc and deleted them off the card.

now i put them back on my mmc, but they are not showing up on the camera.

does anyone know how to fix this.

Re: help with dig. camera

THE POSTED PROCEDURE MAY NOT WORK ALTHOUGH WORTH A TRY
Here's what you do:
-Put the card in the camera and format it there
-then take the same number of pictures on that card
-make a note of the file names and delete those pictures (don't delete on the camera, put the card somewhere else and do it)
-rename the original pics with the filenames you deleted and copy them to the mmc card

The reason is that the camera indexes all the pics and saves it (this is usually encrypted into a file) and can only read what's on the index (with pic details and such). Once u delete the file and take more pics on it, it recreates that index and overwrites old data. with the steps above we are making a fake attempt to recreate info about the old pics,.

Re: help with dig. camera

another reason could be that many cameras uses specific folders to save images in.
so for example Kodak/Casio creates folders in memory cards to save its pictures in.
you will need to re-save the images in that exact folder not just in any folder or root folder and expect the camera to read it.

if u have a card reader then first off take some pictures frm the camera then using the card reader navigate all the folders and make sure u've got the right folder to copy the pictures in.

Re: help with dig. camera

some digi cameras come with 'built-in' memory of some size. You can enhance that memory by adding an external (separatley purchased) card , and when you install it you are creating 2 partitions in the total memory bank.

make sure you are checking/deleting/formating/uploading the correct partition etc etc,,,think on those lines and see the 'menu' and trouble shoot the problem,,,:D
