help with design

Ever since I saw the film Dil To Pagal Hai I’ve wanted a white outfit that is pure white, simple, and looks just innocent. Like the one when she was dancing in the studio and srk played the drums. Anyhow I was thinking maybe i’d get an outfit where the kameez is made of white lace over white silk i suppose and the sleeves are not lined through the lace, and are churidar sleeves at the wrist. Then I wanted the top end an inch past my knees. The Catch again is to have the white silk lining stop 2 inches before the lace overlay does. Then I wanted white silk churidar pants.

I just got word my uncle is coming and I don’t know if they can quickly make the outfit in time but if they do do you think this is understandable? Do you think someone would mind translating it for me? I realize the outfit screams old fashion and boring but to me it seems timeless, and elegant.

Also does anyone have pictures of a colorful anarkali? Mabe one where from the bust on it has colored panels? I have a wedding garba to attend and wanted to wear one since the gujurati outfits in my town are all short cholis with their full back hanging out. has anyone seen an anarkali with a bandini print?

Re: help with design

just saw this and thought of your post, its by DVF

just imagine it with pants on!

Re: help with design

^that soo pretty.i hav saved this pic i liked n similar to wat u r describing.

Re: help with design

That kameez wud look prettier if slightly "a-lined" with the lining stictched inside.. I however don't like the chemise ending an inch above the "daaman"

Re: help with design

here’s the link to DVF website, the lining ending above the “daaman” is much more obvious if you pick the olive green colour, but if you see above, that’s exactly what the OP requested!

there’s a bigger picture here, you could print and send it/email it to someone in Pak and tell them how you want it made, much easier than trying to describe
