Abhi to raakh urrne par tamasha or bhi hoga…

pleez tell me what is the underlying menaing behind this .. i need a good whoole explanation .. thanks

Let us start with the lugvi maani first :

Aag = fire

Dil = heart

kahan = where

Humdum = mate or a lover

Raakh = Ashes

Tama’shah = Show

So if something is on fire - eventually it will turn into Ashes … Raakh urna dena , kisi ko zaleel karne or us ka mazak urana k zumare mein bii istaymal hota hai ..

and as they say ’ jabh chanD charta hai tu duniya daikte hai ’ - ishe terha aag lagne pe / kisi ka mazak baney per/ kisi ki bayizatii pe - yaar log kuch isterha mefzooz hote hai k goya koi tamashah sa laga howa hai ..

so what basically the poet is saying in this verse is ’

O my love one when you have started a mess
you have put me heart on fire
let it burn to the ashes
let the mass around us enjoy it
and you too enjoy till the day
it comes back to haunt you
and you regret it

is he baat pe chacha Ghalib ] ka ek sher yaad agaya .. kehtey haiN

thee khabar garam k ghalib k urayain gay purze
daikne hum be gaay thay par tamshah na howa

The poet is sarcastically telling his/her beloved to wait around and see the whole show that s/he has started.
