Her friends are all Private School ed so will be glamming it up but I have no clue what to wear
My Limits are
1 - I need to be covered.. (No short sleeves)
2 - I am a size 12 and not feeling very lsim these days so would like something to suit my hour glass figure.. (Gok style)
3 - I have a day and a half to buy this and can’t wear Desi Clothes as I am going straight from my work place to London

Re: Help: What to wear Friends Wedding reception in London
There are some nice long dresses in monsoon/coast - you can go for strapless and team it with long sleeved shrug - they tend to be very flattering.
smart pair of trousers with a nice bustier - again team it with a shrug. more flattering then a long sleeved top + its hard to find long sleeved tops for evening wear that arent frumpy :(
ASOS do next day deliver and they have some really pretty maxi dresses.
Topshop have some really trendy and modest chiffon shirts at the moment which can be jazzed up with a brooch and worn with a maxi skirt to give it a dressier feel.
you have to get creative when it comes to dressing up modestly!

Pay Coast a visit! They have some fab dresses you could wear a shrug with it.

Hey thanks both of you (edited)
I got a dress, from Jane Norman (Inside of Debenhams)
It was a beautiful peach colour Maxi (very in at the mo)
It is a one shoulder dress with black lace going from the shoulder across to below the armpit bit on the other side of the dress
I teamed it with a full sleeved bolero which I pinned to the dress so it wouldn't budge and teamed it with peach coloured sandals..
I won't see pics until Friends puts them online... but really liked it..
Only fauz pas was that as it was a peach lining under the net cloth, I didn't realise but my white granny pants coud be seen through so had to swap for a similar colour
