Imran series, and jasoosi dunya. a must read
how come no body has even mentioned Nasem Hijazi.. I remember my sister was crazy about his books and would make me read them as well.. yes it didn't make any sense at that time when I was too much into Phool, bachon ki duniya, taleemo tarbiyat but I miss reading those books now.. I 'll say, Naseem Hijazi'ss novel are an excellent read for youngsters.
oh well you are looking for something light.. umm I guess Mohammad Younas butt isn't a bad choice for that, I remember his book, "Anytime" "Afraa tafreeh" and "Family Front" were quite funny, well atleast thats what I thought. :$
if you like reading novels, dun forget to read Bushra Rehman, Razia butt, Bano Qudsiya, and Ashfaq Hussain.
for travelogues, none other than Mustansir HUssain Tarar and there is another guy and I can't recall his name on top of my head, umm ok I 'll let you know laterz if possible.
Poetry: dun get me started on that, and I guess you are not interested in that anywayz. :-)
Attaul Haq Qasmi: I didn't read much of his literature, probably I left Pakistan at the wrong time and didn't get a chance to read his books..
sighh another reason for me to go back to Pakistan, I miss reading free books because they were purchased by my sister's pocket money and our mom will literally make us read something before going to the bed, yep sometimes it could be just a paragraph. I miss those days * teary*
