Alright, wut bout a SNAKE…like the one that Franklin used during the colonial era, “JOIN OR DIE”, it kept the colonies together, and to a certain extent, helped the U.S. become what it is today. Made the colonial americans realize that they had to stick together, just like states have to today.
“Benjamin Franklin’s political cartoon was the first in America and one of the first of its kind. It had a large effect on people’s views of the French-Indian War and a larger effect on the American Revolutionary War. Never before had such a cartoon made such an impact on America and even now ‘Join, or Die’ is possibly one of the most influential cartoons in American history.”
It's a symbol of what would have happened to the revolutionaries if they'd been defeated and put on trial for turning traitor and betraying their King...
