Who’s makeup is better Rukaiya’s or Anam’s ? Please share your experiences?

hey i think anam falak is the best in town nowadays as im going to marry soon in nov too... i havent seen any of rukaiyas brides ...ill say go for ANAM FALAK as shes affordable and she also listens what her bride wants...

i have also seen rohas real brides and shes good too as im fed up with sabs same looking nude lips and dark green eye brides with loads of bronzer on them ...

Thank you so much Momo, I think I should give a visit to both salons & then decide. Also I would like to see some real bride pics by Rukaiya, as she is not updating her fb page & Yes Anam Falak's work is superb.
Ramzah Anam's charges are 14500.

i was thinking to go for anam falak for my waleema, but not anymore! shes friends with my best friend, and she herself told me, her makeup is only good for models and later their pictures get edited, in real, she puts on a lot of cosmetic on your face, which ends up looking like a cake. so it's better if you don't go for Anam Falak. her magic works in the pictures, but not in reality!
if you want to play safe, better be going to shamain or sharmain, i get confused with her name! she did a pretty good job with my friend or bina khan! they both charge around 35 k, but worth it! :)

i would highly recomnd u to go for rukaiya she is too gud i got my bridal makeup done on feb 3rd 2012 every1 liked it she did really well. she took 18k for makeup her assistance does for 15k n hez even nice too u must go n pay a visit to her to see her real brides i went to see her bride first then i took my decision to go for her.

my vote goes for ruqaiya.i was her november 2011 bride. she did my barat and valima makeup .she did an AMAZING JOB everyone in the hall loved my makeup.

Rukaya is good! Alot of bunto brides are going there as they want a more traditional desi make up! If you want a traditional look then she is the best option out there :)

APRIL87 if you didn't like your makeup then why have you posted photos all over it on your facebook page? I trust her blindly and so do her hundreds of clients who you can see on her page. And you have no right to call anyone a twit, infact the admins should remove your post. You're just a sad girl who joined this just so you could get a little attention.

you should definately go to her without a doubt, she gives brides free makeup trials before their big day so they get to see exactly what the final look will be like

Hey April87,
I am a huge fan of Anam's work, been one since she started working professionally, and I've seen her do better with every new look she creates. As far as turning away from the mirror is concerned, I can only say you are not used to getting makeup done by professionals because in order for them to do an immaculate job, they have to pull their client closer to them and away from the mirror of course. Anam's studio has mirrors all over, I am not sure what could you be complaining about. She's such a hard worker and goes out of her to provide beauty tips for all her girls. A good makeup artist knows that they have to work with the client's skintone, features, so if you were expecting to get chiseled just by contouring i am glad your bubble popped.
I have never seen her use cheap makeup on anyone, even her giveaways consist of world class brands such as Nars, Stila, and Urban Decay Naked palette (usually-sold-out all over the world), so why would she use cheap products on her clients. In fact, her brides and her clients are her biggest supporters as most of her fame comes from word of mouth. Being in the professional world myself, I can totally imagine how important time management is, and when you are working on appointments you can not spare even 10 extra minutes for a client as it is not fair to the one after. As witty as you sound, you must know the importance of being on time, if her job is do the best she can on you, it's your responsibility to get to her studio on time; just for future reference, appointments only work if you can "make it on time", so please don't blame her attitude for your sloppiness.
Yes, you must be wondering why am I getting so fired up over this. It's cos' I see the effort she puts behind each and every make-up look she creates, and I am a huge fan of hers. Maybe, next time you should address your issues with her rather than posting on a public forum as a failed effort to make her look bad. Anam is absolutely amazing and probably one of the few makeup artists in Karachi that let girls experience world class brands, and princess-like treatment for a very low price. and I am sure her fan base reflects that.

okay why are you all being so personal? i mean stop personal attacks! when someone runs a business or a brand, they should be always ready to accept any sort of criticism. be it in their favor or no. No one has any right to threaten anyone. So alinab, you don't have to get so personal. if you love Anam, we really appreciate that you love her, because every person has a right to love whatever they get appealed and attracted with. An an artist should always welcome any sort of criticism. so relax! april, hate Anam as much as you can! and alinab, Love Anam as much as you want! no one can stop either of you! let things be all cool! :D and enjoy the talk! instead of fighting!

why did you delete your comments now? Haha shows how true you are! Caught in the act! I am a loyal client of hers and coming across this nasty post of yours I had to write something so I did. Rather than her attitude its your language where you are calling her a twit, doofus etc. shows the kind of ill mannered person you are hence shows your calibre and if anyone should believe you would be utter stupidity. Instead of posting on a forum you shouldve discussed your issue with her if u had any but clearly yours is just a bunch of lies and jealousy simply because the poor soul didn't let you work with her.

same person? as in? how could two different people be same? i swear i have no strings attached to you or her! i am just being a member here! i would really respect and appreciate if you use the better words! i am really appreciating the fact that you love Anam! i love her makeup too! but me being an artist, i have all right to criticize anyone's work. after all i have a professional degree to do so. i am not some random person who is saying all this without having any knowledge regarding it. And i also would mention that it takes ages to learn some art, and it takes only few seconds to trash someone's effort! so people it's totally cool if you don't like someone's work! but just don't be harsh or use the wrong terminology. you can always say it in a better way! :) and april, Anam is a nice person with a sweet heart, she would never be harsh to her customers. it would be really awesome, if you criticize her work in a different way and not being personal. she has no grudges against any of us! she is a brilliant artist with awesome aesthetic sense, it's just that everyone has different perception to different artwork and not everything can look good on you! so it's all cool! stay blessed you both! :)

Girls, this is a simple thread asking a simple question... Your opinions on the two makeup artist. Making false accusations or personal attacks doesn't solve anything.

My personal opinion when choosing a makeup artist is you want to look at their creditionals. Anam, no doubt has a very impressive portfolio and has been trained at well known institutes. Whether she is suitable for models only... Well... If that was the case, you wouldn't have seen such stunning bridal work on her page. More then 35000 fans, and sold out training sessions, she must be doing something right, right guys?

I'm only pointing those things out because I too chose my wedding makeup artist based on their training, popularity, as well as people's recommendation on this very forum. I didn't work with anam because I reside in the UK, but if someone with the same talent and exposure as her was here, I'd book them in a heartbeat.

If I had to choose, Anam for sure. She posts REAL brides, and not models doing a bridal shoot. This is essential when choosing a MUA. You can clearly see her talent has no boundaries as she has worked with people of all shapes and color (who all come out looking gorgeous,btw) That in itself speaks volume!
I'm in no way being bias. Just helping to make your decision a little easier as I know just hard if can be when choosing a MUA for your big day! Good luck! :-)

wow alinab and maryamkhan need to take it down a notch. You cant go and personally attach april87 just coz she aired her opinions. She has every right to do so. Anam runs a business, every sita, gita , mita has a right to comment on her, either in her favor or against.

Anam might be a friend of yours and its commendable for you to stand up for her like this, but it is possible that there are individuals who do not like her and have every right to do so.

the OP asked for an opinion and sapril87 expressed hers while giving her reason. Now im sure everyone one of us here have at least that much intellect to decide for our selves based on opinion and comments received , who is good or bad.

Just because april87 gave her a bad review does not mean Anam will have to shut shop.

Alinab's comments are absolutely deplorable and threatening in nature. What are the moderators doing ????

payal even if someone runs a business, any sita gita or mita cannot abuse/call them names like twit or doofus etc...and when its all based on lies, there should be no comment in the first place. I agree yes the mods should delete this entire thread if they want, but morale of the story is that liars always get caught..and most of anams clients become her friends, thats how she is with them
