I have had dark patches on the big toe on both of my foot ..the dark patches havebecame thicken, hard, and dark brown. I visted a dermatologist he gave me a few creams to remove warts i think n the whole skin sorounding that brown area peeled off n when the new skin came back it became all black i again went to him n he said that it got worst while heeling n ive got pigmentation now in that patchy area …now one of my big toe is quiet better but the other one is still black n some wat hard …wat should i do im fed up of applying creams n all but its not getting better …wat should i do how to get rid of that black spot some body told me to rub lemon on it should i do that or wat else to do

I have issues of pigmentation too and its very common in people of South Asian descent like us. Ask your dermatologist if you can get a chemical peel on your toe because it evened out pigmentation on my back. lemon etc I use dtoo but it made only a little bit of difference.

yea i asked my doc for that he said first try out the cream that he gave me if nothing happens he will peel it out ...so that means iv got to do that
If the "spot" is dark and patchy almost like a callous, then u'd have u have it surgically removed =( lemon juice won't really help much and nor will most topical gels!

^ Agreed. I don't think its just the pigmentation problem.
can u tell me the name of the cream?? i have the same problem i tried getting regular pedicures and i used lemon it worked alot but not all the way . now my feet r bak to same old blclk patches on my toe. :(

Isn't a podiatrist a diabetic foot doctor? I think she shud consult a derm..and NOT the one that caused her the thick pigmented callous from wart extraction!
