I dreamt of a brown horse with a ribbon around its neck.. the ribbon was white with lime green diamond shapes on it

A horse is considered an animal of high stature
The colours white and green are considered positive
Diamonds and ribbons illustrate celebration and wealth
Whether this is what the dream means- Allahu'alim --- If this happened after istikara then to me it's a 'yes'

1) The meanings that you have derived- do they have a basis in Quran or Hadith?
2) Does one have to be a practicing muslim to do an Istikhara and expect a response?
Genuinely curious.
